Cetaphil Daily Face Cleanser Fragrance Free - Unscented - 16 fl oz

New formula bad and no longer dermatologist recommended! Smells like bleach, though supposedly fragrance free. PLEASE BRING BACK OLD FORMULA I’VE BEEN USING FOR YEARS!

I’m a long time and loyal Cetaphil user, after suffering with cystic acne in my teens and 20’s. I’m a firm believer that using Cetaphil to cleanse my skin was forever life changing. However, I noticed some differences in the formula over the past 4 years (seemed to happen around COVID). First, I noticed the product was more watery and the pump got clogged. That never happened before in all my years using the product. In turn, the pump nozzle got clogged and shot all over the place, wasting a lot of the product. Most recently, I purchased my usual bottle at a big box store like I normally do. This time when I washed my face, there was a bleach-like odor. Just to be sure, I unscrewed the bottle and gave it a sniff - sure enough it smelled like a harsh cleaning product/bleach or chlorine (as some mentioned in other reviews online). I’m not so sure I want to put this on my face again. The smell is rather nauseating. I’m very disappointed in these changes and I do not like this “new formulation”.

Formulation has changed. Now has an awful almost bleach like smell that is nauseating to use. Please go back to the original formulation!

I've used this product for years but this last bottle has a weird scent, almost bleachy.

This is the only cleanser we have used in the last few years. My son battles with acne and skin sensitivity and my skin was aging and dry. The cleanser has helped decrease my son’s acne drastically. My skin feels so much smoother and doesn’t dry out after washing like I experienced with other cleansers. Worth every penny!

This is my go to daily cleanser, and one of the only facial cleansers that cleans my face without making me break out or causing my skin to feel tight and dry. The best thing about this facial cleanser is the fact that it isn’t scented which makes it even better for the skin.

I bought this and they have made the cleanser smaller and charging the same price as the big size which they dont do anymore. I dont know why they made it smaller.

My holy grail! This has become my daily facial cleanser. I have somewhat oily skin and this works great.

I recently purchased this cleanser for a second time because I was happy with the results from my first purchase. Unfortunately, after using this cleanser for a about a week my skin went crazy. I started breaking out horribly and my face was red and inflamed. It felt like it was on fire. I stopped using it for awhile but then decided to give it another try but the same thing happened. I have never experienced anything like this with a face cleanser. I'm not sure what changed with the formula but it doesn't work for me anymore. Anyone with sensitive skin needs to be very cautious. I am really disappointed.

Completely clears face with little inflammation. Fragrance free is essential to not causing irritation. Can dry your face out though.

This is the best cleanser especially if you have acne sensitive skin oily skin this helps with it and it's so affordable for what I get it and just really good

I thought I’d give this a try because it was fragrance free and it just gave me a rash around my eyes, especially my eyelids red and peeling never had that before and it still makes me breakout didn’t help acne

DO NOT BUY!! for YEARS I was led on by American dermatologists and big capitalistic companies like these for my acne. I used this for years. I finally found a video on how these products hurt you, so I looked on CosDNA and EGW skin ingredient lists and ratings and they were right!! I stopped using it and my acne cleared right up with some bar soap and beef tallow. I wish someone years ago had told me.. don’t buy!

Personally love it it does not have a scent the packaging is very easy to use and the texture is sorta runny . Many people’s skin is different but personally I feel like it does help my skin and works perfectly since mine is oily and sensitive .

A good, simple daily facial cleanser that is also fragrance free. It’s usually my go-to cleanser for when I don’t have any breakouts. This lathers very nicely and feels so refreshing on your face. It works well at deep cleansing, I use it with an exfoliate brush.

I decided to give this product a try because I’ve had a positive experience with Cetaphil’s moisturizers, but the results have been disappointing. I’ve been breaking out much more often than I used to when using a different drugstore brand cleanser, almost every other week. It’s almost like I’m 14 again! I do not plan on buying this product again, would not recommend.

This daily facial cleanser is pretty good. Straightforward with no frills. Smells like sunscreen. It’s gentle and easy to wash off. I would like to have some frills. Cute bottle or scents would work.

I had been using the old formula since I was a young teenager and then I purchased this thinking they had just updated the packaging. My face feels itchy and dry, I’m covered in a rash, and I’m breaking out all over my entire face. My texture came back after years of working to get rid of it. The old formula was better because it didn’t contain soaps, this makes my skin feel terrible and ruined my confidence

Love it! It is very gentle. I was using another cleanser but it was drying my skin. Switched to this one and it is a game changer in my routine. It feels clean without stripping your face.
