No spills. No measuring. Just pop the whole powder packet into your wash and go. You don’t even need to open the packs because they completely dissolve in water. Suggested Use
Drop the packet in a bathtub or sink with clothes then swish, rinse, and dry. Or give the gift of Charlie’s Soap to a friend who hasn’t tried our line of environmentally-conscious cleaning products.
Repeated washing with many detergents can leave residues in both washing machine and clothes that can irritate sensitive skin. Charlie's Soap gently removes those residues as it deep cleans your laundry.
1. Deep clean your washer by washing a load of rags with one laundry powder packet.
2. Deep clean your laundry by washing the same load a few times in a row, each time with another packet.
3. Use only Charlie's Soap products and both your laundry AND your machine will stay deeply cleaned and odor free.
HE Washer Tips:
Many HE washers can clean with less water than traditional top-loading washers. Charlie’s Soap is perfect for them. However, some HE machines are inefficient with use of lower levels of water and thus need a little help.
• Leave washer on the Heavy Soil setting for extra agitation. Consider adding soft, plastic, knobby dryer balls to improve agitation.
• If your washer rarely uses enough water, use the Bulky cycle or add a wet towel to the wash.
• Add Charlie’s Soap directly to the clothes - in the tub instead of through the dispenser. Be sure the washer doesn’t drain the drum before starting its wash cycle.
• Double rinse.
• With all front loaders, leave door open to prevent odor.

Q: The directions on the back of the package says to wash the same load three times...?? Am I reading this correctly ?? I'm very confused...

A: We recommend Detoxing your washing machine and clothes when you are new to Charlie's Soap. Super-Cleanse your machine by washing a load of rags with at least one load of Charlie’s Soap for Laundry. Use hot water and heavy agitation. Once your machine is clean from other detergents residues, then you can begin washing your clothes. You don't have to wash your clothes 2-3 times repeatedly, but each wash will remove more of those irritating residues until you’re left with like-new laundry: clean, soft, and fresh-smelling. Q: Can I open packet to use half for washing by hand?

I bought this because I’m trying to avoid plastic bottles/plastic residue on my clothing/plastics down the drain, etc. Open the package to find…plastic. It doesn’t work anyway. Nothing got clean despite following their directions exactly.

No real instructions came with this. Are you supposed to cut open the packs or do they dissolve in water like pods? I cut mine open, not worth it. Not enough detergent in each pack. Each pack comes with enough detergent for one item, no wonder they instruct you to use all 4 packs in the wash.

The packs dissolve in the wash. You do not have to cut the packs open unless you prefer to do so. One packet is for a medium-large wash load. Charlie's Soap only requires a small amount of detergent per wash load.
