A: This kettle only boils, so it only has a simple On switch. My glass broke on first brew/clean. Ugh.

A: When it has reached boiling, the lights will chage from red to green (the keep warm indication). But as soon as you lift the carafe, the keep warm feature is canceled.

For the higher boiling temperatures (ex: 212°F – Black Tea), Keep Warm will activate at 190°F to re-boil the water. For the lower heating temperatures (ex: 175°F – Green Tea), Keep Warm will activate at 160°F and bring the temperature back to 175°F.

A: This kettle is designed only to boil water. To make coffee, you can first boil the water in the kettle and then pour the heated water into a French Press coffee maker.
