Cocokind's Ceramide Barrier Serum is specifically formulated with 5 types of ceramides and lipids that mimic and support skin’s natural barrier, helping skin recognize them more easily, this optimized serum nourishes and replenishes for healthy-looking skin. Ceramides, which are integral to skin barrier structure, are paired with complementary lipids, allowing them to be easily recognized and absorbed, along with ceramide precursors to promote skin’s natural ceramide production. Together they help reduce moisture loss and defend against external aggressors. Fatty acids add extra skin barrier support, while lactic acid gently renews skin helping ingredients sink in more easily. This serum helps reset and defend skin daily, making it ideal for all skin types and concerns.
Packaging uses plastic alternative such as FSC-certified paper, aluminum, steel, or glass with great potential to be widely circular for majority of product packaging. At least 50% of the packaging must use an alternative to plastic to qualify for this pillar.

However, feel free to use it on your body as well, as it also reduces trans-epidermal water loss and signs of irritation, leaving skin noticeably hydrated, supple, and more comfortable. You can also check out our ceramide body oil stick, which is specifically made for the body. This lightweight, mess-free body oil stick uses ceramides, squalene, and shea to replenish moisture and support your body’s skin barrier. It is also always a good idea to do a patch test before applying the product all over just to be safe.

A: We'd recommend applying ceramide barrier serum after vitamin s serum. Another option would be to alternate between the serums - using one in the morning and the other at night.

On my 3rd bottle and I can honestly say this saved my super sensitive skin! I used to use Acures' ceramide serum and after that was discontinued I switched to cocokind. Having sensitive skin I'm always scared to try new products and risk irritation or reactions but this serum has healed my skin barrier to where I can finally use actives and get facials again!

This is one of the only skincare products I have purchased over and over and over again. I have an unfortunate tendency to disrupt my barrier trying out new actives ingredients, and this serum has fixed my barrier every time. I have combination skin and this helps my drier spots without overwhelming the oily parts, and it’s very soothing. I 100% recommend it.

I tried this twice, 1.5 years apart, and both times gave me contact dermatitis, red swollen itchy eyes. I had patch testing done at my dermatologist done after the first time (I didn't think it was this serum) and discovered I am sensitive to fragrances. I decided to try this again since it's fragrance free, but the reaction occurred again. I think the sodium benzoate is too closely related to the benzoic acid in Balsam of Peru (which I am sensitive to). Texture-wise, the serum feels nice and absorbs well. Wish it could've worked for me.

I DONT have sensitive skin at all, I’m used to using acids and more harsh/strong products on my skin (retinol, vit. C, etc) and usually have no problems. I usually use the ordinary barrier serum (which I love) but couldn’t find it in store so grabbed this instead. Huge mistake! A few days later I woke up to the worst breakout I’ve had in 10+ years, and burning, red skin. I immediately stopped use, but a week later I’m still trying to repair what it did. I’ve never reacted like this to any product, so I was shocked! I’ve been using only simple face wash and simple moisturizer every day, and it’s slowly getting better. As soon as I get my hands on The Ordinary’s barrier serum, I’ll start using it again, I know it will help repair this damage quickly!
