This serum is powered by 1.5% salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid that works on both the skin’s surface to slough off dead skin and within pores to clear congestion. I love this acne serum! I generally have very sensitive skin and always break out when introducing new products to my skin. I also would have to slowly introduce products because I used to dry out so bad with serums but it was necessary because I break out otherwise. I did not have that issue with this product, it's not harsh but still helps keep my skin balanced.

All of my adult life, I have struggled with acne, which has lead to years of feeling insecure in my own skin. I decided to purchase this serum on a "whim", and I am so incredibly happy I did. I don't usually leave reviews for skincare products (mostly because I don't ever usually see any major results), but I haven't even used this serum for two weeks and I'm astounded. I've never had major skin problems until this year and I’d tried everything to clear acne, short of prescriptions. I was embarrassed and on the verge of tears because my skin had never looked this bad, when I saw someone mention this serum in a Reddit thread. I have extremely sensitive skin so I was nervous about rhe salicylic acid, but I was so upset about my skin, I was willing to try it. I told myself I’d try one application on the first day, but I had no reaction during the day, so I tried again at night. By the next morning, my skin looked better and clearer. I’ve used it 2-3 times daily since and while I have experienced some minor skin purging, it’s cleared quickly. My texture is more even and my skin is clearer than it’s been in months. 10/10 would recommend!

I wish I had taken before and after pictures. My forehead has been breaking out recently and I couldn't really figure out what was causing it.
