Worked okay while it worked. Could not really regulate the size of the grind. Broke already after not even a year of light use.

We used a rubber jar opener which are useful for all households to get a grip on the mill to open. Then, was a simple twist off counter clockwise. Watched the video, too. It is a nice looking combo mill and appreciate how easy it is to adjust for fine or coarse salt and pepper.

After owning this mill for 4 months I've come to the conclusion that as a concept and overall design, it's great to use. It's a dual purpose mill that lets you choose the grinding size and is exceptionally ergonomic ot use. However after using it for 4 months, I've found that tiny little salt and pepper pieces escape from the part where it turns and the unmovable part highlighted in my picture. I'm not sure if this is because of the repeated friction causing the plastic to wear down but its made the mill impossible to use because a simple twist results in a hand coated in salt or pepper. There also isn't anything inside the mill that you can tighten to fix the issue either. As a result I cannot recommend this as a product to buy.

I love the ceramic grinders on both mills. My intention is to use pepper in both mills. Efficient on space. looks pretty on a table for nice presentation. The grinder mechanism is simple with nothing in the way for cleaning it. I like that it doesn’t have end caps as I don’t see the need for them—less clutter in the kitchen imo.

Very convenient. We’ve had singular versions of the peppercorn grinder but they either don’t work or have broken somewhere in the grinding process. I realize some peppercorns are larger than others. The ones we had were kinda big. The new grinder has peppercorns that are not so big. Other than judging by eyesight, I thought at least I could find the bag where it indicates size mm or inches would be nice. Maybe it is on some of the packages and I’ve overlooked it, just like how clear plastic manufactures put the recycle symbol on the plastic so it is clear also. Sorry, I can’t rate for cleaning just yet.

I think they are beautiful and very well presented. Very happy to give them as a gift this Christmas, but as I have not used them I cannot score "value for money" as if they don't work well then they are not. However I have given and received these items in the past and I have not been disappointed yet.

I cant twist the screw off on the salt mill so I cannot refill it. I tried the rubber jar grip suggestion like someone mentioned but it wont come off. It seems to be stuck. Does it need to be oiled or something? Shouldnt be this hard. Im clearly not the only one with this problem.

Works and adjusts easily. Looks good on our stove. Love the convenience of both in one. One caveat: If you dont have strong hands, youll need to find someone that does to open it for you.

Have had this for about 4 months--it's great. Coarseness adjuster works very well and easily; we like finely ground salt and chunky pepper. Just had to refill the salt and came here to confirm how to open that--needed to use a rubber jar opener to get the salt top off. But you want it to close firmly, so that's fair--and the picture confirmed that I was doing it right, only needed a better grip.
