A: Hello. Command products stick best to smooth surfaces. If the surface is rough, there is less for the adhesive strip to stick too so the weight limit can diminish.

I used these to hang vines and lights in my room, they worked great and have held up for a few days now. The only issue i had was that they are a little too sticky, i had one hook that i wanted to adjust the placement of, so i took it off of the ceiling. When i removed it, a chunk of paint from the ceiling came with it. Now i have a brown spot on my ceiling, but otherwise they uphold themselves very well.

We use these to hang up our outdoor Christmas lights. They work well, but can snap on you sometimes. I bought a pack a few years ago and just had to buy a new pack to replace some that have snapped over the years. Luckily they aren't too expensive, especially on sale and I feel like they are worth it to keep our Christmas lights up.

Literally doesn’t stick to anything, not sure if the command stop itself is defective but after pulling off the protective tabs there was nothing sticky about it, thought maybe once I put it on the surface it would work; hard no. Everything fell right down. The clips themselves are great.

These are awesome if you are hanging like those cool icicles on your front porch. I have had the same hooks up for around 3 years and they are still holding heavy items during the years. I would highly recommend this product.

We purchased this product and used it in 70° weather under our gazebo. The next morning, all the string LED lights were on the floor. We contacted 3M, and they said that the product was probably used incorrectly. We followed the instructions and both packets of lights were on the ground. What a waste of money! Definitely buy something else, even though command usually has good products.

I got tired of seeing 12+ cups out because nobody ever remembered which cup they were using. These work exactly how I want them to. If one breaks, it's easy peasy to make a new one for a kid.

I was looking for clips to hang lights from metal on the edge of our roof. I noticed a lot of very poor reviews for these clips but couldn’t find any other affords options. I went ahead and gave them a try anyway. I followed all the instructions exactly. I’m happy to say the clips have held up wonderfully. Put them up in August of 2022 and the lights are still in place December 2023. We get very cold winters and hot summers in northern Manitoba and every clip has stayed in place. Very happy with my purchase.

Did not stick well outside in 30 degree weather. Also not big enough for rope lights. Works fine for regular strands of lights if you can get them to stick.

Id read the reviews but like everyone else never had a prb with command strips so i bought them anyways. Idk why but these particular ones are not sticking- people I am not making this up! Its me plus all the other people experiencing the same issue. I cleaned the area, put alcohol, tried different surfaces (flat texture, glass, outdoors to hang light) none of it sticks. Tried the blue side and black sticky side, still nothing. Im returning these because its a complete waste of money.

Bought this to hang lightweight Christmas decor (a strand of plastic beads). Every single strip has failed in a weird way. The adhesive strip splits, leaving the wall-facing sticky bit still stuck to the wall and the other half stuck to the hook. I've never had issues with Command hooks in the past, very disappointed in this product.

Has this product been changed? A couple of years ago I used them to hang a string of Edison bulbs on my pool cage without a problem. Our cage was destroyed in the hurricane and I tried to hang them on the new one. I've now gone through 5 packages and they just don't stick. I checked with the builder to see if the cage is treated with a coating and he said no.
