  • A: Yes! I've used it summer 2017 in France without any problems. If you plan to use it in Europe, you'll just have to buy a plug adapter because their outlets don't accept this plug.

Not for long or thick hair

Obsessedwithcolor89 - 8 months ago
I have long, thick hair. I have other curling irons of other brands and none of them get stuck in my hair like this one. My curls also do not hold with this iron. I think it might be better for someone with short, thinner hair. Not for the long, thick hair girlies though! on the pros, it does heat up very quickly.

Curled my thick long hair but the curls didn’t stick. It’s like I straightened my hair instead. Maybe I need product to make the curls stick but I used to use this same curling iron without product and the curls stayed. This curling iron is definitely not the same as it used to be. Disappointing.

Economic & Useful

4 out of 5 stars
Grandma C - 10 months ago, Verified purchaser
I wanted a dual voltage mini curling iron for travel. All of those had automatic heat settings - impossible to control. The one I tried went from 250* to 400* in seconds. This Conair is not a mini but the dual voltage is fine. The 30 different heat settings have a control dial, heat up quickly & keep that temp. My only issue is the dial for the heat settings is right in the middle of the appliance & somewhat in the way when curling hair. I can work around it but it's my reason for 4 stars.

Faulty electronics

2 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Nell - 1 year ago
This curling iron has worked well for my hair, but I think there is a quality issue with the electronics. I usually leave it plugged in but turned off after I use it. Yesterday, I smelled something burning when I walked into my room and discovered that the curling iron had evidently had a short or something. It had turned on and melted the plastic coating on the hair dryer cord that had been lying across it. It had also melted the “on” switch of the curling iron. I hadn’t used the curling iron in 2 days prior to this event and I’m positive that I did NOT turn it on that day. This is the second model of this curling iron that I have owned, but I will not be purchasing another one. I seem to recall that neither curling iron has lasted very long.

Bad barrel?

Dissatisfied - 1 year ago
I’ve been curling my hair for years (generally successfully, haha!), but cannot for the life of me get a curl to hold using this curling iron. The clip constantly snags my hair, and regardless of the heat setting, my curls are limp and fall flat almost immediately after curling. I’ve never faced this issue using my favorite ceramic curling iron before, and wonder if it has anything to do with the metal the barrel is made out of. Perhaps it’s user error after all, but something about this curler doesn’t feel quite up to par to me. You get what you pay for, I suppose! But I’ve tried other Conair hair tools in the past which I’ve liked much better.

stoped working after about 5 times in using it, also the clamp leaves major crimps in my hair, heat not accurate and huge waste. keeps turning off every 3 seconds so it was about unusable by the 4th time, tried it once more and it fully stopped working.

I’ve used this exact curling iron for 10+ years & it works great. I’ve had both short and long hair throughout the years & have never had an issue with it not curling with this thing. I finally had to replace it because the cord wore out. Will be replacing with another one just like it.

I’ve been using this curling iron since 2006, and have only had to replace due to knocking it off the counter and breaking the end plastic piece off. Does the job better than any expensive one I’ve used.
