My 8 y/o daughter loves these Cookeez toys & has had every version. They’ve always worked for us. We always know these are one time use toys bc we are not resetting & doing it again as the surprise element is the main point. The batter could have been a bit better but at least it wasn’t messy!

Got this for my 8 y/o for Christmas. Cute, but it didn’t work at all upon opening. Which was a bummer. My hubby tested the watch batteries and ONE is bad. Disappointing that it comes with the batteries but still didn’t work brand new.
I wouldn't buy it.

It does not work. It's a one time toy. The pancake mix is a mess. The toy flips once (by hand because it doesn't work by itself) and that's it. Fun over. No more sound, nothing. Probably one of the worse toys I've ever got. My 5 year old hated it

I purchased this item for my child and when they opened it, nothing worked. There were no sounds at all; which was completely disappointing as it is the main feature of the toy. I understand this toy has the repeat play feature, but what’s the point when it’s a surprise toy and revealing it for the first time is the most exciting part?? We have been satisfied with other Cookeez Makery products, but this one is a total dud.

I am not sure about its durability as we thought we broke it almost immediately. But that’s more likely from only have 1 for 2 kiddos. It’s a very cute idea, but the little critter /pancake plushy doesn’t come off or out so the kids were confused by it. They love having pancakes for breakfast, so this was a cute way to show dad that they can also make them. I don’t know if there is any educational piece outside of how to use a frying pan and spatula in pretend kitchen play. But overall it entertained them for a few hours out of the day and that is always helpful for a parent!

I suggest that if you have a child under the age of 4, it's best not to buy it, as there are some parts that could pose a choking hazard. Despite that, it comes with fake pancake mix, and makes a delightful sizzling noise for pretend play cooking. The hidden toy inside is super cute and has a fruity scent.

My daughter made the pancake a few additional times before she finally put it down. The only negative was that the batter we received was so thick that we had to open the package and just place it on the skillet: it was like the consistency of silly putty. Overall, we had a lot of fun.

Comes with a frying pan, spatula and the cutest pancake soft toy pet The frying pan makes a sizzling sound when flipping the pancake. The pet makes animal noises when pressed and is detachable from the frying pan so fun to play with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cookeez Market S2 Pancake Treatz Playset is a unique toy. I like the pretend play aspect of a kitchen skillet and spatula to make a pretend pancake. I didn't love that the pretend pancake batter was a packet of slime, that once flipped, stays inside the skillet. The skillet makes fun sizzling cooking sounds. However, it is incredibly difficult to flip to reveal the kitty pancake plush - my 8 year old could not do it, and it took 2 adults trying to complete the flip. The kitty pancake plush is cute and makes fun sounds. The toy overall is neat and fun, but uses a lot of plastic for a one time surprise.

She formed the pancake with the slime then pushed the bottom and flipped the pancake and up popped a pancake plushie! The shock and wow factors are definitely there. However I gave this two stars because the quality of this plushie was terrible. The plushie was missing paws, had big holes where the paws were supposed to be and then my daughter picked it up and the only paw that came attached fell off. My daughter immediately started crying thinking she broke the toy in reality the quality control needs to step their game up on this toy!

Its standout feature is the element of surprise, which adds excitement to the play experience. The set is user-friendly, encouraging imaginative play. If your child is a fan of the magic mixie toys, they will be slightly less enthusiastic about this as it's not filled with all the great surprise elements as those toys. It's literally slime you put in a spot on the "pan" and a button press. The batteries don't last long enough for multiple uses. It was a 1 and done.

It had a very fun and educational aspect of it when reading through the pamphlet and there was safety precautions and warning as well for the small pancake dough. The actual pancake puppy toy smelled so good and my kids loved the sound effects this toy makes and it kept them very entertained
