I got this for a prize at the library and instead of 1 packet of seeds and 1 bag of rocks, there were 2 bags of rocks! I was so disappointed and had to buy the seeds myself.

Interesting and cute little project! It’s not big, so great for motor skills, I would say from age 4 for sure! It contains soil, colorful sand, Little Rock’s, decorations to put in soil, decorative stick pearls for terrarium, stickers for terrarium, chia seeds and dropper! For my year old it was interesting to create one, plant seeds. Everyday he watered seeds and watched how plants sprouted! It’s such scientific and interesting experience for children. There are enough materials like sand and seeds to make a few projects! I recommend it as a diy and great gift!

It was simple enough for her to understand the instructions and put together. She loved the sparkly soil and the mermaid tail. They had fun placing the shells, mermaid tail, and white gravel, but I’d say they liked placing the colored sand and the chia seeds the most. Since they are chia seeds they sprouted pretty quickly so my children have been having fun watering the chia seeds each time they need to be watered.

My daughter decorated the outside with stickers and these colorful pearls and the inside with these cute figurines. The chia seeds have just started to grow. We can’t wait to see how it all turns out!

She then added the sand and stones and placed the mermaid tail and shell. Lastly she added in the plant seeds. This product is cute and a nice project for my 6 year old who was very excited to have it. This is not a very durable product as it is breakable but I don’t think it is made to be durable. We will anxiously await the chia seeds to grow!

Already purchased 2 of these... 1 is going to be a Christmas gift. The other I bought last year and granddaughter loved it!

From decorating the container to really considering placement of the stickers and sand and the shell/mermaid tail, this was a really fun craft for an 8 year old girl, but I think the range for this is much wider than that. It does include enough supplies where you could plant a second round of the sprouts once the first round dies off.

My 4-year-old granddaughter loved assembling this with me. She has fun watering it with the dropper provided.

This was so easy and fun to do. It took about 20 mins to set up and decorate and within a day or two it was already growing. Very cool to see progress so quickly. Eventually it did get moldy and we had to throw it away but we enjoyed it for about 6 weeks. Well worth it. I also think the box had solutions for mold (take the lid off) but at that point we were done with it.
