Q: I have one but it is dying. How do you replant it?

A: Yes, over time your garden will need to be replanted. You can use left over materials that you may have from the kit or purchase new soil and seeds from your local garden center. You will basically take the materials out of the jar and rework the project.

A: My daughters planted the seeds provided in the kit. They do not sprout actual flowers but more like a petit grass/ground cover. We did not transplant as there was really no reason to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I revived this complimentary kit from influenster. I decided to have my nephew create the terrarium. He had so much fun creating this terrarium! He was able to do all of it by himself with just me reading the directions to him. He enjoyed creating each different layer. I personally liked the sweet animal theme. He waters it with the mister checking for new growth. Very exciting activity that isn’t just over once the terrarium is complete. It continues to excite and intrigue his little mind!

Awesome! Couldn’t keep the cute lid on bc the grass grew sooo tall. My only downside is that unfortunately the glow in the dark things barely worked. You’d have to hold a spotlight directly on it and would only glow for a couple min. Wouldn’t glow at all from sunlight or natural room light🤷🏼♀️🫤 Other than that super cool! Kids loved putting it together!

Although it was testing in regard to working with two toddlers. (3 and 1 3/4), it was a pretty smooth project other than and mix of layers, which is all in good fun of exploring. Great results. Anyone know if the wheatgrass and chia seeds are edible?

It includes, glowing sand, stones, grassa and chia seeds, also stickers to decorate the jar. The only cons I find so that kids aren’t that patient to be waiting for the plants to grow or to be taking care of it, at least it’s not the case of my son. Still, it’s something different to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought my 8 year daughter would enjoy this. Well, it quickly turned to frustration. The little bit of colored sand that is included, was not enough to be spread evenly. And it doesn't glow as bright. The directions state to mist each layer, but the sprayer left the middle mostly dry. When constructing, you cannot tilt the jar, otherwise everything slides around. The figures included are super cute and my daughter loved the fox sticker. But definitely decorate before constructing. It comes with 2 different types of seeds. The grass takes longer, and more misting to germinate. And it is something that requires care every few days.

We're sorry to hear you had some difficulties, but we're glad to hear that you and your daughter shared some crafting time together. Younger children may need adult assistance. The sand requires charging by a bright or blue light and will produce a subtle glow in the dark after doing so.

Everyday they came home asking to water their grass lol I highly suggest it as it's super easy, simple packaging and simple instructions!

They were so excited to get started on this kit once I brought it home. Clear instructions were given and it was so easy to put together. My kids are ages 6 and 8, but I imagine this would also be great for kids of any age. Within a few days, we noticed roots growing at the bottom. Within a week, we noticed sprouts springing up. After a few weeks in, the sprouts were growing so tall that we decided to remove the cap off the jar to give it more room to grow. And it definitely grows. It's now over 6 inches past the top of the jar. The kids are amazed at how much it grows every day that goes by. I don't know how long this will last, but I have a feeling it'll be here for a while as long as we keep spraying it down with water. It's one of those things where a little bit of money goes a long way!

She had so much fun learning about the different layers the soil needed to be placed in so the plants could grow. She has been watering her plants for the past month now and they have grown so much we had to remove the lid. She has already talked me into buying a different kit from the same brand so she can do it again.

The box gave a pamphlet with 5 or 6 easy to follow instructions. After about two days we had rooting, and by day 4 the terrarium was steamy and looked like those photos attached to this review. We were given this Grow and Glow terrarium for free for my honest review.

She definitely couldn’t have done it completely on her own but was able to take charge for most of the steps and especially decorating at the end. It was a good little STEM activity as she had to practice patience so that the sand layers didn’t mix and then again for our seeds to sprout. I do feel they could give a little more of the colored sand and less of the seeds. The plastic jar doesn’t feel super durable but overall this was a fun activity that she was very excited about and got to flex her independence with. I would gift it to other children her age.

The directions were very simple and easy to understand, so the assembly was a breeze. I loved that the stickers allowed my son to be creative with it, and it has educational value because he gets to watch his plants grow. It also gives him something to take care of. It is easy to put together with each layer packaged separately. It comes with stickers to decorate it, and an adorable raccoon figurine. I absolutely recommend this product.

The kids loved the hands on experience of being able to put this together and the shared responsibility of watering it to watch it grow! Added bonus, it comes with a raccoon figurine and we love raccoons here! There are enough seeds to keep growing (you dont use them all at once) and I will say the layers dont layer up the way they show in the photo but thats okay, its still really fun for the kids and i recommend for anyone wanting to try growing some lil plants with their kiddos.
