I am now able to make ice cream fresh from home! This ice cream maker is especially awesome for its little shoot for adding in mix ins making it easy to complete the step where you add sauces or candies or nuts into the mix. It’s like your own personal *insert major ice cream brand here* machine! It easily makes soft serve ice cream in 25-30 minutes. I love that it does a smaller quantity at once, so I can really put love into the pint I’m making. It’s easy to clean and out to use again. Highly recommend to my ice cream loving friends!

This was something that was easy to assemble, easy to maintenance/clean and easy to store. And while it is a smaller appliance, it allowed me to make ice cream for my entire family! I love the convenience of making ice cream at home and the recipe on Cuisinart’s website are perfect for the mixer! The only downside was that we did have to prep and chill the icecream mix for at least two hours and freeze the Cuisinart Base for 24 hours. So you do have to prep a bit or have a premeditated plan to make icecream. I was hoping to be able to make it on the spot, but that’s okay! Side note: This also allowed my toddler to help me make icecream and visually see we ate it all (and can’t have anymore after). He loved watching it spin and see his creamy mix become solid icecream!

Right from turning on, adding ingredients, adding milk, cream to freezer bowl it is incredibly easy to use. We just start the maker after dinner and by the time we are done washing plates, the soft and fresh ice cream is ready to eat. My only complaint is the ice cream is so yummy that 1 pint feels smaller. This is must have for small family.

The machine is compact and will take up little space. My only complaint is that it is a little noisy. You can put some parts in the dishwasher so that helps with cleanup. First use, you freeze the bowl over 24 hours, and you are ready to make your first batch of ice cream. Conveniently, the cusinart website has some delicious recipes to start you out. However, I found that adding egg to my ice cream made for a much smoother recipe. The bath you see in my photo was their vanilla ice cream, and I added in some edible cookie dough right through the ingredients added in the funnel. It's was so easy to use thmy 4 year old was practically running the machine on her own. Clean up is very easy, You scoop out the remaining ice cream and clean your freezer bowl with soap and water. The ingredients funnel detached from the top and washes easily with soap and water it is dishwasher safe, as is the paddle, I just assume wash them. I highly recommend this cusinart ice cream maker for a small family or a couple.
