A: You can substitute unsweetened oat milk for milk (1:1), unsweetened coconut cream for heavy cream (1:1), and vegan cream cheese for cream cheese (1:1). Make sure to use unsweetened substitutes and to whisk any coconut cream by itself before using it as a substitute. We do not recommend other dairy substitutions unless specifically called out in the recipe.

I have not tried the machine yet, but it came and looks used and the box was damaged. The ninja itself has hair and fuzzy’s all over it. Disgusted!!

Makes great ice cream but the blade does not last long at all. I have made 10-15 pints and the inside threads of the blade have stripped making this unusable. The blade will no longer attach and spin during mixing. Not to mention I have probably eaten metal shavings in the ice creams I have actually made.

First let me start by saying it sounds like a jet engine getting ready for take off. I have tried it three times following the directions and recipes completely and I do not find this to be anything like ice cream. Maybe a dry ice-cream? It’s cold and powdery but melts in your mouth. Really not sure how to describe it. Probably can just use a blender and freeze it.

This is an insanely overpriced blender (that can’t even blend ice or fruit). You have to mix everything before you put it in the blender and turn it into “ice cream”. We bought this because as a family of four it seemed like a quick fun thing to do with the kids but were extremely disappointed when we had to wait 24 hours for the mixture to freeze. You can buy an actual ice cream maker for $50 lol. Safe to say I’ll be returning this and buying a real ice cream maker.

Upgraded model is an improvement over the original. Larger bowl is a nice feature, multiple settings and it seems more powerful and quieter than the original. Built sturdy, yet lighter than Gen1. The creamiest and tastiest desserts from just some fruit with no additives, health and nourishing for sure.

I love it when it works. The first unit I had lasted 3 months, the next one, a little over a year. Very disappointed. Mostly because I love the ice cream my family makes. As long as they malfunction within a year, Ninja will replace it. They won't after that without a warranty. These products are too expensive to only last 15 months.

I really wanted to love this machine as I had seen tons of videos with people making “healthier” protein ice cream, but this machine has some major issues that you should consider before purchase. 1) People are not lying when they say how loud and obnoxious this thing is. The noise level genuinely made me question how this thing made it on the market. It was a terrible sound, especially since my ice cream cravings hit hardest at night. 2) There’s no cleaning cycle. You can’t manually lower the metal stalk so you’re unable to clean it. Plus, the plastic lid is covered and doesn’t allow for easy cleaning either. 3) Blade can easily scratch and become detached from machine. Even after following all the directions, the blade became scratched on the inside after the third use. 4) Product lacks quality and durability. I kept the machine for a total of about one week and really wanted it to work out, but everything about the apparatus seemed poorly designed. I can’t see this thing lasting long enough to be worth $200.

Bought this last winter and we used it all the time until the lid came apart that houses the blade. It was so dirty inside that I’m sure there was bacteria growing. It is glued closed so there is no way to clean it unless it breaks as in our case. I’m sorry but I can’t use a product that can’t be fully cleaned and puts my family at risk to bacteria. This product needs to be remade and pulled from shelves until it is.
