Another average toaster

I purchased this toaster to replace a previous CUISINART 4-slice toaster (Model CPT-440P) which we loved. After many years of flawless performance, the old toaster finally gave up. Unfortunately, this model is no longer available, but based on the its reliability, we purchased another Cuisinart. We have had it for a couple of months and are "satisfied" with it, but not thrilled. Actually, it performs about as well as an average toaster. Much less than what we expected
Great, then not so!

Love the looks of the toaster and its function. But suddenly, it takes 2 to 4 pushes down of the lever to start a toasting cycle. I hope this doesn’t get worse.

Toasts evenly. Even has a defrost button, which is good since I keep my bread in the frezer. Looks nice on my counter and dies not take up too much room.

This Cuisinart toaster is like the "Cadillac" of toasters. It has dual settings and the waffles and other items I have tried so far have come out perfectly. Not to mention that it is very stylish and looks great on my countertop:)

I almost got burned

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

While this has great features, it feels cheaply made and parts of the handle were falling apart before I even used it. I ran it prior to putting any bread in and I noticed the entire top became hot enough to burn someone. The sides weren’t as hot but they still became much more hot than they should.

Originally purchased a different brand that didn't have as many settings, but changed mind and exchanged it for this one that really wanted. Hesitated because we had a Cuisinart 4 slice toaster prior that was a different make and it had issues with a light staying on and a noise. Went ahead and decided to try this one due to features and memory settings. Have used it about a month and everyone in the family loves it. Perfect bagels, toast, English muffins, and waffles the way we each like them.... every time!! Has timer that shows countdown for how long each takes in minutes/seconds when start. It's quiet, outside doesn't seem to get as hot/stay as hot on top, as prior one did. Absolutely love it!!! Cord is in a little weird location, in my opinion, it starts in the front right corner and you wrap it in the clips underneath to the back. Our plug is on the left side of toaster so was worried cord would be too short, but it worked fine.

It’s the best toaster I’ve ever had. The ability to tell it what type of toastable is in each side is perfect. Having the countdown timer makes me feel good because I know it’s got a plan and helps me plan to have all food warm at the same time

We replaced an older model that served us well with this newer model. Holes are not as wide as previous model. Same thickness of sliced rolls that fit in our prior Cuisinart toaster don't fit in this model? Also, one of the sides of the 4-slots does not close properly. I'm not a returner so I'll deal with this I guess. But I'm not happy.

One of the best toasters we have purchased. Evenly toasts bread, English muffins and bagels. The timer feature is great letting you know just how long it will take to get a perfectly toasted item.

We are a family who likes to have a regular toaster for bagels and bread. We think a toaster just does a better job. We do own a Cuisinart air fryer/toaster oven, too, which we really like.

Great toaster, many options, but it is kind of annoying you have to push the button down twice to get it to hold the slice of bread down and start toasting.
