Q: Is this 18/0 stainless? Or does it have nickel?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Currently, the only line of cookware which is 18/10 stainless is the French Classic. All other current stainless-steel cookware is 18/0 which is also called Premium Stainless Steel. This means that neither performance, quality, nor appearance would be compromised in anyway. Q: Has anyone experienced the inside developing rust pitmarks on the bottom? That happened to me with a different brand after the first use.

A: JO, this should not happen with proper use and cleaning and is not a known issue regarding this Cuisinart product. However, if you encounter stains from calcium in your water, rest assured this is from a harmless deposit and can be removed with a little warm vinegar. Certain foods such as pasta or oatmeal may leave a light residue or cloudy appearance. This can be easily removed with any nonabrasive cleaning product. Hope this helps!

A: It does! Simply twist the lid and it locks into place. There is a groove, per se. I use this with my four kids and it works very well.

This is a beautiful pot and the interlocking lid is amazing but unfortunately in just a few months of light use it has pits that formed on the bottom and lower edge of the pot. After reading online i found it is a common problem but incredibly disappointing nonetheless. Apparently you shouldn’t salt the pasta water unless it’s boiling which I’m pretty sure we already do but there are 5-10 visible pits that you can feel with your finger nail on the bottom. Research says these are not unsafe nor do they represent a reason to stop using but I’ve never spent close to $50 on a pot that became so visibly damaged so quickly. Do not use metal utensils which we did once when it was brand new not knowing and it has many scratches. I could live with that and I will continue to use this pitted and scratched pot but will not purchase again nor recommend. The handles are sturdy, the lid is awesome, but if the likely aluminum layer is already exposed through the visible pits and aluminum has been deemed safe by scientists, I would not invest this much again and am so disappointed. I have spent $50 on pans and pots that have lasted for a decade so to have this one have many visible pits in three months, it makes me sad every time I use it.

This will not bring water to a boil. Sits on the stove and the water is barely warm. Very strange but it's completely useless.

This is a gorgeous, uber-functional tool that gets a ton of use in my kitchen. Completely eliminates the need for a separate strainer - faster and less messy cooking with less cleanup! Im coming back to buy more for my family now - just buy it it's awesome! Oh and it's induction compatible - key - induction cooking is amazingly quick.

I purchased this to replace another Cuisinart 5.75qt stock pot I have that has developed some hot spots on the bottom. I was hoping this pot was the same, but the other one is a bit deeper which I like, and it has a glass lid, which I like. This pot has a thin, sharp edge around the top as you can sort of ‘clip’ and twist the lid to secure it to strain pasta water. Not a fan of the locking lid thing, because I also use the pot for soup. Fortunately, the glass lid from my old pot also fits this.

The best pasta pot! I was getting so frustrated with water always boiling over with various pots that I have. I got this pot for Christmas and I’ve yet to have water boil over! The strainer is a great plus as well.

Love this pot! It boils quickly, nothing sticks, and the locking strainer lid makes this the best pasta pot. I bought one bragged about it and used it so much, it was the only thing on my sister’s Christmas wishlist.
