Curls Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Hair Gel

They changed the formula and it’s awful now. Target hasn’t updated its images and they still feature the old formula. The new formula bottles do not have the allure award stamp. The old formula was my holy grail product, I used it for years and loved it so much. Now with this formula change my hair is gross and almost untouchable, it feels greasy and has no volume, the gel’s cast basically never breaks. I’m so disappointed. It also no longer has organic ingredients anymore.

I love the leave-in so I was excited to try this. I have high-density medium coarse hair, waves on the tighter side. This is the only product I have had to wash out the same day. It looked good wet. I had nicely clumped waves. But it dried terribly. When I touched my hair, my fingertips had sticky residue and my hair felt very gummy. Maybe it’s not for my hair type.

Dried my hair out. My hair is normally not dry, but this left it feeling brittle. I love their Blueberry leave-in conditioner, but even when I used them together this dried my hair out pretty bad. I now use their leave in conditioner with a little of another brand's hair oil and my curls feel soft & nourished not greasy or dried out.

I will buy this product again and again!!! It maintains my frizz and defines my 3c curls. and smells AMAZING

The smell is clean and it works!

Really like this gel product, it’s great at controlling frizz but still allows my hair to be big and voluminous. I pair this product with the Blueberry Bliss leave in conditioner. Just make sure to follow the directions. Allow this product to air dry only (your hair will be much softer and more moisturized) don’t get under a hooded dryer, it’ll cause your hair to get/feel very dry.

Wow this is a big bottle! Price is still a bit up there for a Target product though. I could have sworn I tried this gel back when it was in a smaller bottle and it worked alright for my wavy hair, but now I wonder if I am tripping. I wonder if they changed the recipe? Because this stuff is now VERY SCENTED. And the 'scent' is a little like blueberry yes, but more so like SMOKE. Like I have an Auntie with a cigarrate between her teeth doing my hair for 2 hours and forty-five minutes. That's how I smell after I use this stuff. Didn't use much; just a nickle-sized dollop. I wouldn't say my hair is sticky, just frizzier than I ever thought possible. Out of control and in need of a wash.

I didn’t like the results this curl jelly left on my 2b wavy hair. My hair wasn’t defined and it was frizzy. The jelly has light hold as well.

Extremely sticky and tangles my hair so bad, I really don’t like this product.

Used this for the first time just now after combing out my daughters hair post wash. We'll see how it holds over time but so far I'm very impressed! I used less than half of what I needed when using a different brand and this smells fantastic compared to our other one too!

A little goes a long way!

Curls Blueberry brand works so well in my daughter’s mixed hair. She has very thick and curly hair. This get is sticky at first, but does hood her curls well. We put it in wet and brush’s it through. Let it air dry and no frizz. All the products sleep great.

As a curly girl it’s so hard to find products that work. This control jelly works great and doesn’t leave my curls crunchy. I gave it one less star because it’s a bit expensive since I use a lot because I have so much hair.

Not a fan at all. It’s really sticky and weighs down my hair. I want to wash my hair again immediately after using it. I’ve used the product twice now and haven’t been happy either time. This stuff is pretty pricey too. I love the leave in conditioner though!

I was amazed by what the leave in did so I decided to give the gel a go. Unfortunately it provided 0 hold and I got frizz in about 30 minutes are diffusing. It’s expensive and not worth it. Use the leave in and a different gel or styling cream.

I have tried a lot of products for my naturally thick, frizzy and wavy hair. Nothing keeps my curls in all day or my frizz away without my hair being crunchy, until now. This stuff is awesome! I wash my hair and brush it in the shower then when I get out scrunch some of this in it and I'm done! I can even do this before I go to bed and wake up with awesome looking hair.

I have 3A curls and began the curly-girl method, and this gel saved me! I have tried MANY different gels (Briogeo, Miss Jessies, Shea Moisture, etc.) and this one has been my favorite. I scrunch curl cream into soaking-wet hair and then let it dry for 5-10 minutes, then add this gel and air dry. It creates the perfect cast around the curls and never weighs them down. I've never had flakes or low-hold, this has greatly helped definition and is relatively easy to refresh!
