We just recently redid our kitchen and with that comes to silicone around all the new stuff that I’ve installed, especially around our sink and I use this hundred percent silicone that’s for kitchen and it worked amazing. It’s easy to work with and it dispenses really well. It also seals everything up really nicely so you don’t have to worry about any water damage or anything like that.

That being said, the “DAP Commercial Kitchen 100% Silicone” sealant worked as expected. It went on easily and I didn’t note any shrinkage the next day. The only downside is the smell, which is a little stronger than some of the silicone sealants I have used, and the fact that it’s used in the kitchen can be a bit off putting. It took a couple of days for the smell to dissipate. It’s also not paintable so be mindful of where you use this and if you care if it matches or not. Other than that, it works and I like it.

I didn’t know from where, but after watching a YouTube video I felt confident enough to rip out all the caulk and recaulk it with this. It didn’t stink, it was easy to clean up, and I love the way it looks now. I will use this for other projects around the house, I see if being very versatile.

Ended up having just a small exposed corner, rather than the expense to getting brand new countertop, we just used the Dap silicone, perfect, cannot tell there is any silicone filling the gap, so we just went ahead and went all the way around the sink, just in case there are tiny gaps we did not see. I cook every day and always plenty of dishes to be washed, so far the sealant had held up very well, no signs of water seeping under the silicone, clean up on it is easy, even with greasy food stains. It does have a vinegary smell to it when first dispensed, but dissapates quickly. We are remodeling little by little and I can see where this product will come in handy on many projects where water either from inside or outside will be involved.

It’s so easy to apply and smooth when skimmed out. It is easy to clean and holds it shape and adheres to the wall and cabinets great. I even applied to the tile around my stove too. So it holds up well to the heat. I even applied it to the underside of my countertop and resists food orders in my pantry.
