Q: Does the top griddle lift out of the base for cleaning?

A: Hello, thank you for question! The griddle plate of the Dash Everyday Electric Griddle is not removable from the base. The non-stick coating of the griddle plate, makes it so easy to wipe clean with a damp, non-abrasive sponge.

Just received my Everyday Griddle today and after unpacking it is sitting on my counter waiting for me to make dinner! And I can's wait! I love the color, turquoise, very Mid-Century, which is the age of my home and kitchen. The griddle are is perfect while it is still very slim for storing. The non-stick is also perfect for eggs, pancakes, all breakfast foods and for hamburgers, grilled cheese and so much more. I am looking forward to a long cooking relationship with my griddle.

The heat is so patchy and obviously in only two strips along the top and bottom. Everything cooks so unevenly.

I got this for Christmas and finally set it up for breakfast this morning. I love the color and the design. I cooked bacon first so I love that it has a channel that the bacon fat drains into the drip tray. In my opinion the tray could be a bit bigger like my last griddle. I cooked 1 lb of bacon and had to hurry and empty the tray because it was full. I love the design of the cord because my kitchen is very small and the counter space I use my griddle on is right next to my fridge so I appreciate this design.
