They have some shine so they look as thought they belong on an everyday table or they have just the right amount of glam to be part of a formal table. The metallic thread is the best part as it makes cleanup super easy. Spill and crumbs wipe right off instead of soaking into the fabric so these can be used repeatedly. Love them!

I have 2 little ones that can be messy at times and these placemats can get really dirty and sticky real quick but what I love about the placemats is that they are very easy to wipe down and clean off. They do have a weave pattern to them but are still easy to clean off and I think these are Ideal if you have little ones. I simply take my mind to the sink and gently wash mine with a sponge and air dry them, they dry quickly and wash well. You can use these placemats indoor and outdoor as well. These placemats have a luxurious look to them and are easy to dress up or down for any occasion. Everytime I have a get together with friends or family I do get a lot of compliments. I did not expect that. The color is beautiful. It has a gold hue to it which I am very happy about. The texture of this placemat is wonderful! It looks expensive in my opinion. My family loves it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was searching for a vinyl matt that was water proof, I found this but the material was weaved, so there are gaps. I did a test with a drop of water and it seeped right through. It is pretty and it matched what I needed, but didn't meet my requirements. They're pretty but were terrible wrinkle. I had to use a clothes and iron them down, which took sometime. :( quality also not that good.

I expected them to be a bit more pliable but I think their texture and slight rigidity will make them last longer.
