Design Toscano Basking in God's Glory Little Girl Statue: Large

I bought this statue 9 years ago when my mom died. We put her is in a place of peace in our back shade garden with moms ashes. Five years ago she broke in half and I glued her back together and added the ribbon and flowers to hide the repairs. This year she has had a makeover and I painted her and she looks beautiful. I'm sure my mom is looking down and smiling.

This is my 4th piece. Not well constructed. I got the large and went to screw in the arm and it cracked off and when the arm fell out one of the birds broke off. Hoping Gorilla glue will do the trick to fix this.

This is my favorite garden piece I have! Everyone loves her and wants to know where she came from! She watches over my garden and the grands always give her a hug when passing by…

I got the larger version of this as the scale of it in and amongst the native flowers was important. Just lovely.

She is the centerpiece of a small cutting garden. A joyous addition to my yard. Perfect size. Loveit

It wasn't quite the refined quality I was hoping for but I still love her. Her outer coating is beginning to flake off and that's disappointing but from a distance you can't tell.

I love her. She's just what I needed for my new flower garden. Since she is "Basking in God's Glory" with little birds I have named her "Baskin' Robins."

Purchased Basking in God's Glory after searching for months both locally and on line as it was to go in my late sister's memory garden. We later also purchased a pedestal for her. My husband installed it in the garden with spotlights shining down on her. Our neighbors family and friends love to visit the garden Or just walk by and stop to see the total beauty of ir. She is the centerpeice.

Had my eye on this statue for quite some time before purchasing but finally took the plunge after it went on sale AND because I love for birds. This statue makes me smile every time I see it and makes a great addition to my flower bed where we also have bird feeders and a bird bath!

I am thrilled to have this precious statue in my garden. Being in a very cold winter climate, she will spend the winter in our sunroom. Edge makes me smile whenever I look at her. My niece saw her and fel in love with it. I will be sending her one for her garden. The workmanship is excellent! Her features are beautifully produced Thank you for such a delightful addition to my garden.

Larger than I expected, very beautiful and well packaged.

Was somewhat prepared for the quality issues having read other reviews, but still.. The arms fit loosely into the shoulder sockets, to be held there by screws. With the screws in place they arms still wobble because of a poor fit, so I epoxied them in place, then put in the screws. Seem ok for now. The little birds fit so poorly into the holes in the arms that one fell out immediately and broke on the floor. Again, I epoxied it back together and then trimmed down the bases of the birds so they would fit into the holes, and epoxied them into place. Bought it as an outdoor statue but the instructions say it shouldn't be left outside during freezing or wet winter weather. What am I to do? Store it all winter? It's outside now, waiting for an ice storm. Hope it holds up.

So sweet! My home is a designated wildlife sanctuary with several species of birds, and this statue is perfect in one of my flower gardens among the wild birds!

I call this Cathy, after my wife. She loves birds and wishes they would land on her. This piece is very joyful. The sculpting is excellent. I replaced the smaller version after I knocked her over, breaking it.

Purchased for a church prayer garden, this little girl is delighting in the Creator with outstretched arms, on which have alighted six of God's creation (the birds). Her face exudes JOY! We are appreciative of the realistic features, however, her eyes just aren't "right". Maybe if it were in color. Anyway, I believe the sculpture is around 30" tall. It needs to be elevated in our garden for effect. Our Trustees are also concerned about possible theft, so they are looking to secure her to a concrete base with rebar. I am unable to evaluate ease of maintenance since we haven't placed her outside yet, and winter is not yet upon us. I do believe she will spend the winter in the basement.

I echo the previous reviews of this sweet little statue. It is a nice addition to my deck, in the summer. I bring her in for the winter because I noticed the resin start to pit and flake off, after the season turned cold. I also have a horrible time keeping her arms in place. I have chips out of my hardwood floor, from her arms randomly dropping off. All of the birds have broken and missing wings- and the sweet girl just seems to take it all in stride as she looks heavenward. I would request more stable arms , and a resin a bit more weather resistant. We live in the Tidewater area of Virginia and the winters are not severe here. These two downfalls the reason for my low rating, but overall I still love her. She just seems to be looking up and saying "Thank you Lord!"!

Sent as funeral gift. The pure job on the face of the girl reminded us of the wonderful spirit of the person we lost. Brings job to our face when we look at this wonderful statue.

I received this statue and was unaware it had to be assembled before I bought it. I live in North Dakota, home of OIL, rivaling Texas, and lots of endless wind. There were no instructions how to attach the arms and so I just glued them in. I did see another reviewer that said the arms had to be screwed in but I could not see how that was going to work. I had a friend drill in a hole in the bottom, so I could run a steel rebar up the middle, so I could stake her in the garden, thereby stabilizing her somewhat against the wind. I think all the garden statues should already come with this feature made in the design - a hole in the bottom so the customer can use a rebar of their own, or not.
