Q: I have a Great Pyrenees, therefore LOTS of long white hair. I saw where you said the roller needed to be cleaned if there is a lot of hair build-up. Is the roller easily removed to do that?

A: That is a great question. Always use caution when using a vacuum on Shag. The Endura does not have the on/off brush roll feature.

This is a poorly designed over priced waste. The vacuum is a good 2 inches above the actual floor/carpet and you can't change it. Doesn't pick up anything, and is loud. The attachments are a pain ... The filters are cheap. Yer better off with a broom!

It honestly terrible I have had it for about a year the bottom part doesn’t work at all it spits the stuff your trying to suck up around the room or back at you. It spits a tiny shard of glass at me and it got stuck in my foot for days. It really doesn’t do a great job.

This thing didn't even last a year. I would not recommend it to anyone. It doesn't have any suction power anymore even though we keep it clean in-between uses. There is nothing blocking the flow, no hair tangled in the brushes, yet it doesn't suck up anything anymore. Plus it has started making an awful sound & smells like burning plastic when I use it. Will be replacing it with something from another brand asap.

After a year of using it lightly, it has stopped working. There was a smell of plastic about two months before it broke. Inspected everything, belts were fine, no hairs stuck on roller, filters were cleaned after every use. Hoses were clear. If you're on a budget it's ok but just know you'll have to invest in another vacuum soon.

This vacuum was okay, but the cord is pretty short so I'm always having to use a different outlet. Like another reviewer said, it mostly just pushes dirt around on hardwood floors. The hose detaches and spreads dust everywhere. The belt finally just broke after only a few months. I'm looking for another vacuum.

I was excited to get a deal on this vacuum, as I needed to clean my new apartment. It works well on rugs (of which I have three); however, it seems like it is just pushing dirt and crumbs around when I use it on the wood floor (which is the majority of apartment). I guess I'll go back to sweeping...?

Less than one star. Shame on Dirt Devil: Deceiving the consumer. Not reliable, a poor design, leaks dust at hose connections. Dust goes everywhere it should not. That is NOT acceptable. Nothing is broken; just a cheap inconsiderate fast build-and-sell design. Low cost is not indicative of reasonable quality. Spews out dust at hose to base connection, by the second. Fast accumulation quite visible to the eye. Wand extension does not stay on at hose end, falls off with slight moves of it. Another big nuisance. Box info says “edge to edge”. Not true! Drive belt is on one side of brush roller. Leaves lines on carpet, indicates gaps in brush; not a thorough pick up. Necessary two and three repeat runs. A nuisance to clean off the machine of the dust ON it. Needs a separate hand vac to clean that, or wet towel. DO NOT RECOMMEND! DO NOT BUY! Low cost really means LOW quality. Money thrown away for this machine.

Purchased for a carpeted apartment have 2 adults with very long hair 2 cats with medium fur Suction is AMAZING for the price (paid $50 or $10/yr) Small enough to slide under 75% of my furniture 5/5 for carpet - medium pile 4/5 for hardwood areas - may not pick up heavier particles 5/5 easy to clean - just don't forget I had this vacuum for about 5 years, and I'm here to buy a replacement. The only reason the last one stopped working is because I neglected to clean the filters for 6-9 months and it finally stopped working.
