Q: Is this product FDA approved for medical use?

submitted by SLiMiam - 4 years ago
  • A: Allow me to translate that - NO.

    submitted bywacktech2022 - 3 years ago
  • A: The pulse oximeter that we sell in stores and online is for Aviation and Sports use and does not require a prescription. This same model is also sold with FDA registrations for medical use and would require a prescription from a healthcare professional. While both oximeters are the same, one is FDA registered for healthcare professionals (as they require the FDA registration) and the other is sold for aviation and sports use to keep the cost down for the public that would like to regularly check their pulse and oxygen levels, but do not require the FDA registration. -Dr. Talbot's Customer Service

Q: Is it possible to remove the sticker with the 97 and 84 on it? The sticker makes it difficult to read the results correctly. If it can’t be removed, I will need to return it to Target. Thank you.

submitted by EBH - 3 months ago
  • A: Yes, the sticker with the 97 and 84 on it is removable. You can carefully peel it off to view the results more clearly.

Great design, looks professional and the bag is very helpful. Very fast and accurate in adult reading, but not so much in children.

Purchased the gray and white one about a month ago after a stay in the hospital with pneumonia. Very nice easy to read and accurate. The only thing I noticed is your finger and the unit better be at least room temp. or the readings will be off. Other than that, completely satisfied with this product.

I had tried a different pulse oximeter before I bought this and it was so inaccurate (at times said my O2 sat level required emergency care but I felt totally fine or said it I was fine when my O2 sat was actually dropping). I decided to pick this one up instead and I'm really glad I did! It's very accurate, easy to use, and a great value for the price. Sometimes I have dip powder/fake nails on and even with that, my readings are still accurate with this!

This oximeter has been amazingly helpful for peace of mind when my kids are sick. My son had RSV and being able to monitor his oxygen multiple times throughout the night calmed this anxious mama. 4 stars because the screen sometimes switches to a different screen and won’t seem to get a reading so I have to insert and re insert his finger multiple times to get a reading. This is a staple now in our medicine cabinet and I tell other parents to have it too!

So easy to use and it works really well. I picked this up when my daughter had a lingering cough turned pneumonia. It was great to be able to keep track of her oxygen to make sure she wasn't getting worse. Accurate compared to her oxygen taken at the doctor. Great price, would highly recommend.

You cannot get a reading if you are outside and the temperature is below 60 degrees. Otherwise this oximeter works. If you are an outdoors person, take this into consideration.

This works great! I am pregnant and recently had a respiratory infection so my breathing hasn’t been great. This gave me peace of mind to be able to check and assure that my oxygen levels were in range.

This was great until it wasn’t. I bought the Pulse Oximeter back in August 2023 (6 months ago) and I already have to replace it. I had thought that my oxygen was low but truly it was the device that was reading it wrong.

This is a compact product that comes with a well made case; those are the only positives. I purchased it to monitor my husband's pulse and O2 levels because he was experiencing shortness of breath. This was a total waste. Sometimes it didn't register at all; sometimes it registered numbers that were clearly out of any possible range and, occasionally, it was reasonable. When I tried it on myself, I experienced the same results. It did not improve when I changed the batteries. I will not keep this.

it’s a nice compact unit and easy to use, but the device seems to work only intermittently. It gives different readings for the same person taken at the same time. For example, oxygen level 99 becomes 78, taken on a different finger a minute later.

This only worked if the back battery compartment was off, which makes zero sense, and it’s not even safe. Also, readings were 92 and 93% yet doctors just read me at 98%. Junk. Being returned
