My daughter has been wondering how things grow, so this kit was something I thought she would enjoy. She's only 6, but really enjoys the fact that she can watch and see her plants growing. I like the journal and we work together to talk about what's happening and the different stages. I think this is a great way for parents to also get involved in science.
I received a sample for review purposes. All thoughts are my own.

If you have children that love to see how things grow - this is a whole new spin on it! You can actually SEE it growing, the roots, the leaves...everything. It's includes a diary which is fantastic, because you can record your discoveries. This is interactive and fun...and educational without being boring :) Great gift idea too!
I did receive this product for review, but my opinions are 100% my own.

I can't say enough about this amazing hydroponics kit. We had so much fun watching our marigold grow. We were able to take measurements everyday and journal our findings in the book. This is such a great project for the whole family!
Great kit for young scientists!

My kids were thrilled when they received this science kit. I liked that the pieces in this kit were sturdy and not flimsy. My 9 year old and 6 year old loved seeing their seeds developing roots and growing through the see through plastic. It was so much more gratifying than waiting for the seedlings to sprout out of the soil in a traditional garden. PLUS, I loved that they got to be hands on and conduct experiments without the mess! The only thing I wish the kit came with were some starter seeds. The kids were SO excited when they opened the kit and wanted to get started right away. Unfortunately, we didn't have any seeds on hand so they had to wait until we got some. All in all, I highly recommend this kit!
