The EKO Madison Brushed Stainless Steel 13.2 Gallon Step Trash Can has a sleek appearance that complements your living spaces without drawing attention to your garbage can. The fingerprint resistant finish is easy to maintain with a soft damp cloth. The durable step pedal mechanism is built to withstand years of daily use and provides hands-free, hygienic trash disposal. A bi-force damper system allows for the soft open and close lid to prevent slamming and banging for quiet operation. Stay open locking lid lets you hold the lid open longer when necessary. Use your favorite deodorizer in the built-in compartment on the underside of the lid to keep your kitchen smelling fresh between bag changes. The removable polypropylene inner liner has a cut out bag fixer slot to tuck in your trash bag so it won't slip down into the can. 50L (13.2 Gallon) capacity takes standard kitchen trash bags.

I got this instead of diaper pail to use in my baby’s room. I love it! I love the quiet slow close of the lid and the ability to lock the lid open if needed. I also appreciate that it came with trash bags! You don’t have to use their brand though which is nice. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice trash can!

Matte black color, doesn't show smudges/fingerprints. Perfect for our space, and house will kiddos - one benefit is the feature that can be engaged to prop the lid up, if a little one does attempt to manually close the lid, the "switch" disengages and lid closes (instead of breaking). Super helpful. While we haven't had it for any amount of time to speak to longevity, it is high quality and for almost half of the cost of SH with an almost identical design. Doesn't require fancy/brand specific bags (13 gal. fit)

I love the look of this trashcan and it seems well built. I wish it had a small lip on the lid to grab and open in addition to the foot pedal. Also, it says finger print resistant, but there is some sort of smudge that came on it that won’t come out. I got the white and there is an area that just looks like it’s kind of greasy/shiny? I have tried dawn, magic eraser, and sanitizing wipes to get it to go away and none of them worked. It’s not super noticeable, but I’m really OCD about these types of details, especially for something that will inevitably get dirty.

I don't think trash cans should cost this much, but since they all do now, that doesn't figure into my rating. This arrived in perfect condition and works well. Quiet, slow close and a lock to keep the lid open. So far pretty resistent to fingerprints. The only thing that bothered me was that a sticker on the inside of the lid didn't peel off cleanly, so if you intend to remove it, maybe hit it with a hairdryer first.

And the lid has an option to lock while open to make taking out the trash a breeze! It really is fingerprint resistant and so shiny! The trash bags were super strong too and I'd love to see them in stores!

The garbage can has a nice aesthetic with the sleek look of the brushed stainless steel and yet it is also heavy duty. I like the soft close lid and the lock that can be used to keep the lid open for easier disposal. It has an inner bucket that also slides out if you need to clean and sanitize or if it’s easier to put a new garbage bag in. Another added feature is the small compartment on the inside of the lid that can hold a deodorizer to help neutralize garbage smells. The step is also nice and wide for ease of opening. We are very happy with this product from EKO and it goes so well with our kitchen.

It also has a convenient little level that can be activated so the lid stays open. I found this really helpful while cooking so I can just drop food scraps and egg shells in without out having to keep stepping to open it. It also has a little spot on the inner lid where you can put something to reduce odor. That’s a nice feature though I haven’t yet purchased the pads for it. All in all, this is a very good product!
