Faster & reasonable complexity. Confusion does exist regarding automatic selection of trays. 11 x 14 paper fit is not simple. Works well & set up required moderate knowledge. LOVE CHEAP INK---THIS INK TRIPLED IN PRICE!! Still better than the competition but lets get the ink back to the regular price.

A Real Pain to Use

I have had this printer for almost a year. It will not take any paper thicker than 24 # including paper such as Epson matte presentation paper.(Thick paper is on). Periodically it decides there is no paper in the paper tray. After a couple of hours messing around, turning off, turning, on, removing paper, putting in new paper, it decides to work. Currently it loses the connection with my computer about every other day. The router is about 6 feet away. It also tells me I have no ink when the tanks are over 3/4 full. Again doing things like above, it will suddenly find the computer. I wanted this printer so bad and had my name on waiting lists at several different distributors and am so so disappointed. I have never been able to print from the back loader which is also disappointing. At one point it stopped printing and tech support had me do the power cleaning and it finally started to print again. I have printed just about 1500 copies in this year.

Easy Setup and Operations

Purchased this as a replacement for a 3 year old HP that developed a problem when they pushed a software update (typical problem with HP printers). Very easy setup. Just pay attention and follow the instructions. Ink is easy to use and expect my ink costs to drop significantly. Had some cheap paper and had problems with the printer bending the paper corners. Replaced it with better paper and it is no longer an issue. A bit slower first page print than I would like, but not a problem. Don't believe the print quality is quite as good as my HP, but acceptable. Printer seems to require print quality maintenance more often than with my other printers as colors like red see to not always be consistent. Run quick maintenance and it is fine. Overall so far, so good.

The scanner can oly save 60 pages per pdf with is not bad, so I use my epson es 300 because is does a 100 pages. getting my questions answered has been nice but it has also been a pain as some people do their job better than others.

Printer with huge ink capacity and business oriented feature

Aside from the massive ink capacity, thanks to the Ecotank technology, this printer has business oriented features found in much larger and more expensive business machines. It will definitely be a huge boon to a small business owner looking to avoid expensive maintenance plans the come with the traditional business printer. With a larger laser based unit, you have to deal with potential issues regarding multiple paper paths, a fusing unit, an imaging drum, and a toner unit. Replace parts or getting maintenance performed from the first three areas is quite expensive and beyond the general knowledge of an average office worker. A machine like this is much simpler, but still have the features a business user would want. For example, scanning to a server or shared network drive, email, WSD, and even a connected cloud account like Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, or Onedrive. I spent the week (shut in with the current situation) scanning hundreds of papers. The ADF and platen scanning performed flawlessly. When scanning multiple documents that wouldn't work through the ADF (irregular shape or too thick), the UI asks if you want to scan another page or finish. This is really convenient because I can just keep dropping the next document onto the platen and cruise along. In the past, scanning this many documents would have taken half a day, this printer did it in just a few hours. My only issue with the printer is the UI which was clearly not designed with American's in mind. The language is understandable but does not flow. Furthermore, the setup is easy but the UI makes the setup more confusing than it should be. Filling the tanks is crazy easy. I definitely recommend this printer for any office with anywhere from 10-25 users This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5800 Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I am a Registered Nurse who provides home care to local seniors. Part of my job includes printing medication lists and care plans and bringing them to my patients. The Epson ET-5800 to print, scan, copy and fax and with my laptop and cellphone; I have a fully functioning office. There are also regular needs for my family to have such a machine in the home. Printing, scanning, faxing. I save a lot on postage by scanning and emailing paperwork. The size of the machine was a little offputting to start with but it is very easy to work with. I was use to using much small printer/scanner fax machines. I am very thankful for the wireless printing and connectivity options available with this machine. The machine prints rather fast. I would highly recommend it to any person working either all or part of their work from home. The perfect All-in-One!

I was a little apprehensive when this printer was delivered, the box was a little larger than I expected. Surprisingly, the printer itself, is relatively compact given all its features and fits perfectly. It was packed with ample protective materials and the ink was vacuum sealed. Unpacking and setting up was quite easy. The included instructions are easy to follow. Just make sure to remove all the blue tape. The software downloaded quickly and connected to Wi-Fi with no issue at all. I wasn’t sure how filling the ink tanks would work but the design of the bottles and the “ecotank” opening is very well designed. I try to be environmentally conscience and the zero-cartridge waste is a huge pro for me. It was an easy and mess free step. The ink must go through a “charging” process to get everything ready. Takes less than 10 minutes and you are ready to go. I was currently using another office printer and their ink service, I wasn’t impressed. This is an amazing upgrade! The 4-ish inch touchscreen display is easy to navigate, user friendly and clear. The quality of regular everyday printing is much more crisp and vivid. The print speed is fast. No lag in communication between my PC and the printer, a problem I had been experiencing with my other one. The automated output tray is a cool feature I wasn’t used to. When scanning and copying documents, the results are so close to the original. The colors were spot on! The paper trays hold more than enough for weekly use. Fax working as expected. The Epson iPrint app works seamlessly with the printer, you really can print from anywhere. Due to COVID, I am working from home and homeschooling. I much prefer having my own ink available, in my hands when I need it. I didn’t expect to be printing dozens of grade school worksheets and assignments so, this printer came just in time. We printed a few test photos and the quality was just as good as those I purchase from a photo center. I have pictures printed regularly for work and home use so, this is another huge pro for me. The replacement ink prices are very affordable for the amount you are getting. Ink cost is something I always like to know about. The ink levels show virtually no use since setup, I truly believe I won’t have to purchase any ink for quite a long time. The printer was intended for my work office but I’m loving having this at home. Overall, this is an extremely efficient printer that is up to the task for a small business or home office. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5800 Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I love this EcoTank All in One Cartridge Free Supertank Printer. The Printer comes with great instructions on how to set it up. I am not good setting up printer, but I was able to in about 2 hours. It took awhile to set it up wireless but after I unplugged my router and plugged it back in, the printer started working without issue. The best feature is that I didn't have to hook it up to my computer or other computers in the office. I love that it prints wireless, making it so much quicker to get things done. I even set it up on my mobile and printed a picture from it. So easy to fill the tanks without getting ink everywhere. I love that it is a scanner, copier, and fax machine all in one. The many uses saves me lots of time and energy since it is all right there.

I got this EcoTank Pro ET-5800 All-in-One Printer in the mail. The first thing I thought was this thing is huge. It was so easy to take out of the box. It's packaged well and it has a bag around it that helps you pull it out. It was so easy to set up so if your not a tech person you can still do it. I love that it's WiFi enabled so I can use it from any device. It even has a feature that I can print something out if I'm away from home. As soon as I got it I set it up and it was so easy to add the ink. Just make sure you put them in the right spots. It was so easy to download the software and get it started. We have been printing out a lot since schools are out. It prints out so easy and it's not as loud as the other printer I had. It has a nice size screen so it's easy to see. When it prints it's look so clean. You can feel the paper is we but it doesn't smear. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because it tends to have paper jams. The paper jams are easy to fix but there is an arrow in the paper drawer that has to be just right or it jams. Overall a great printer. “This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5800 Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Perfect replacement printer for my home office

After receiving this printer and unboxing it I have to say I am very impressed. I took the time to read through the quick set up steps and I am glad that I did. Once you fill the tanks with ink you need to “charge” the printer (pipes). I’m not sure if you would’ve been prompted to do this, but it involves holding a button on the screen for five seconds to kick it off. I do like on this new model that you can invert the bottle and just place it into the tank and the ink drains in as opposed to the old versions where you had to squeeze the ink out of the bottles and it was quite messy. This was very easy and clean to set up an install. I was up and printing within about 20 minutes including firmware update and charging the ink. I run a small business out of my home and my wife is a teacher. We are constantly printing worksheets and notes along with scanning in all types of different documents and pictures. This printer has done an amazing job with anything that we’ve thrown at it. It prints quickly and efficiently. The quality is great for everything that I have done. I like especially that the drawing tray automatically expands when you start printing. The printer lives in a different room and is always on but in sleep mode so this is quite convenient that I don’t have to make multiple trips to start printing. Air print works flawlessly and is a wonderful feature! We needed insurance cards printed and I just grabbed them in the app and sent them right to the printer from my phone and within seconds it was there. The speed for multiple pages is impressive and quality holds up over the entire document. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5800 Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Regardless, I can easily recommend this printer for a home office and would purchase it.

The size of the 5800 was a little surprising at first, but was not a problem once it was up and running on the desk. Unboxing the printer and setting up was simple, the provided instructions were easy to follow. Connecting to the wireless network was quick and painless. Filling the ink tanks was smooth and mess free. The print quality is great and I would put this up against many color laserjets that I have used in the workplace. Having 2 paper trays is a nice feature for a home office. This has been one of the best all in one printers I have had the chance to use. I would highly recommend this printer to someone in need of a fast, high quality printer that can also copy/scan/fax. I have been using this printer for about one week now. The setup was easy. The instructions were very clear. So far I tested the printing and copying functions both of which work seamless. The speed of copying is pretty impressive. I was also able to easily print a document through my phone. The ink replacement seems fairly straightforward and cost conscious. This is the first time I use an eco tank printer and so far I like it. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5800 Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review

Amazing Home Printer!!

This Epson EcoTank ET-5800 printer arrived at the perfect time. Due to COVID19 I’m currently working ½ of my time at work and ½ of my time in the office so due to that I was in need of a home printer. It took me about an hour to set up the printer and connect it to my laptop once I took it out of the box. The printer was kind of heavy once I got it out of the box but it was really easy to unbox. You just have to take off some blue tape and you are basically ready to go. Next, you set up the printer by basically following the steps that come up on the touch screen that is very easy to read. Honestly, it works just like my iPhone works. After that I downloaded the Epson software and utilities that was included in the bundle with the printer. You do have to fill the ink tanks because this printer is different than most because it takes tanks and not cartridges. Once you do fill up the tanks, which is not messy in the least (unlike I thought), you have to charge them. It took me about 9-10 minutes to charge them. After that my laptop and printer were ready to go. I printed a few test pages and was really amazed at the quality. So, after printing numerous pages and scanning a 75-page document really easy (which can be a task at times), I have to say this printer works as great if not better than my printer at work. It does take a great bit of room; however, it is worth it to me because it’s an awesome printer in my opinion. I’m not going to lie; I was a bit skeptical because I haven’t used a tank printer before and thought it would make a total mess. Also, I’m usually a HP type of person; however, I have to say I may switch in the future if the need arises for another printer. This printer is actually great and I would recommend it to other. I do have to say I was not swayed in any way to give this review however…. “This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5800 Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

EcoTank Pro ET-5800 All in 1 Cartridge Free Super Tank

On arrival, I swapped out my HP Officejet Pro 8200 with the Eco Tank ET-5800. It has been my printer for the past year in my office and although it prints ok there have been more than one issue with instant ink. This Eco Tank is a great printer for any home office user like myself because of how quick it is and of course the conveniennt Eco Tank Inks (no more cartridges!). The box was huge and very heavy when it arrived and I had to wait for help to lift it up onto the printer stand. Once set up I found it really easy to get it going and the Start Here guide walks you through the whole setup and ink fillup. Connecting to our network has been difficult in the past but this was a breeze. We were up and printing rather quickly so I was impressed by that as well. Now to the best part! This printer has drivers from Windows 7 up to Windows 10 so almost anyone will be able to print from it. It is an all in one machine meaning it allows you to print in black and white and color as well being able to scan, copy and fax. This was very important to me because I did not want 3 different machines in my office when you can do it with just one! You can put alot of paper in the fill tray and it is relatively quiet when it prints. I tried printing in black and white, then color and then I printed a photograph and they came out beautifully! I am impressed and hopeful that my Eco Tank will keep printing and the ink supply lasts me a good long time! This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5800 Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test review.
