Q: I want to print out wedding invitations what is the thickest brand of paper I can use

If you plan to use cardstock for your wedding invitations, we have tested similar Epson paper that weighs around 44 lb. Please be aware that these recommendations are for Epson paper only. You can try thick paper that falls in that range, but your results can vary when using other brands and heavier paper. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team

I purchased mine about 4 months ago and it has worked well for my purposes right out of the box. I have used the scan and copy features with no problems. I have used it to print on plain paper, envelopes, and photo paper - all worked well. Just after my printer purchase I had to get a new Mac computer. I found that the wifi hookup between the computer and printer to be a bonus, as the new Mac is very limited on external hook-up capabilities.

Piece of junk- I have a direct wired connection to my computer-its constantly spooling, It is always in a paper jam and the paper drawer doesn't close correctly, also dont update the software because if you do they put a restriction on it and you can only use Epson ink ( I think HP was sued for doing this). Out of the box this printer has had paper jam and paper drawer problems and I still fight with it DAILY.

I have had WF-3820 for two months and it has been nothing but trouble since. Cannot connect to Wi-Fi issues. I've done everything humanly possible to correct this, but it keeps toggling from working one day to not rhe next and no... it's not the wifi. I had a previous epson printer scanner of an older model, last ten years. Idk what happened to Epson, but I'm not impressed.

NO LONGER WORKS / Network and Driver Issues with MAC OS

DougP - 3 months ago

I have had this printer for maybe 3 years and I echo what many others have said regarding issues with MAC OS. It worked OK, aside from jamming sometimes and the paper tray extension broke off. HOWEVER, since I my recent upgrade of my Spectrum internet to faster wireless router as well as MAC update to OS 15.3, I cannot find printer on my network, keep having to delete printer, try to install updated drivers from your website which isnt working, and I have updated the firmware. VERY FRUSTRATING and I know we are a throw-away society and that is what is killing us - I do not want to trash this, and a printer should be made to last more than a couple years. WHAT A WASTE - you guys should be taking the printers back and recycle or repair them, given that you cannot make a reliable product because we will have to pay to dispose of them.

Great Printer for Printing words, not pictures

This is a work printer. NOT for Photos, Pictures etc... If you have the need to print 40 pages of typed out stuff, this is good. Scans great, its a really good printer in my view. The only thing is I wish it had bigger printer cartriges for the black. I use the double capacity, I just wish they had larger than that, but its great for printing papers, not papers with tons of pictures or anything like that.

I purchased this printer after a frustrating couple of years with a Brother printer. I was looking for another brand, but the Epsom WF-3820 seems to be comparable in all ways to the more expensive HP models. While I am still figuring out how to use all the features, each time I use this printer I am more and more convinced that I made a good choice. Sharp, clear printing, even colour photos print decently on ordinary paper (though I would recommend heavier paper for photos). This printer keeps on surprising me, in a good way. Ignore the trolls. The WF-3820 is a fair return for the money, and should be expected to fulfill and surpass most people's expectations.

My wife purchased this printer about a month ago. The print quality seems good, and the speed of printing is much better than our previous printer. I'd like to give it a good review, but our experience is that the Wi-Fi connectivity is abysmal. Printer control panel shows that it is connected to our router, and the Wi-Fi router shows that the printer is connected, But whenever we try to print something via phone or laptop, nothing happens. At first, it worked fine, but within two weeks, it began to be very intermittent, and now it doesn't work at all when trying to print from a device. When researching what to do to fix it, I came across the Epson smart print app, so I downloaded it and connected it to the printer via my iPhone. Now I can print from my iPhone, but I can't understand why it won't connect to my iPhone or other devices without sending everything through the app. My wife is extremely frustrated, andI'm ready to take it back to the store we bought it from.
