A: I've been using this mascara for a while and it's so waterproof that it's almost hard to wash off! it's my favorite mascara and is worth more than its low price. 10/10 would recommend its AMAZING!!!

I have short, blonde tipped eyelashes, and hooded eyes, so that's basically three strikes against me going in. I've tried so many mascaras, and they either don't really lengthen, they smudge, etc. I do prefer waterproof mascara, just cause. So, I found this- waterproof, vegan, cruelty free, and decent price- and decided to try it. WELL. This mascara is amazing!!! My eyelashes are actually visible, they're super long, and there's little to no smudging at all! This has definitely become a go-to product for me. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's hard to get off. I use makeup remover cloths (not wipes) and while they remove other waterproof makeup, they don't do anything for this stuff, so I do need to use an extra waterproof makeup remover. Otherwise, definitely 5 stars!

As a non waterproof mascara I would probably rank this higher, however, the fact that it's marketed as waterproof and doesn't meet up to the claims is highly disappointing. Flakes off and smudges on the bottom. Irritating to eyes

Like This mascara quickly replaced my favorite drugstore brand. Definitely waterproof and I’ve never had an issue with it not lasting or making me look raccoon like on my top lashes. Dislike- for some reason I can’t use it on my lower lashes though! Not sure if it’s the wand but I’m ok with it because I have a mascara that works on my lower lashes but not as good on my uppers. I know that’s odd 🤣

Ordered online and it arrived without a shrinkwrap safety seal. Now I looked at the Q & As and it seems that's common and the company rep says it's safe. Ew, how do I know it hasn't been tampered with. Adding a shrinkwrap band around it literally costs like .0001 cents. Get it together, to sell cosmetics without safety seals is gross. I returned it.

I've been pretty happy about Essence products thus far but I was disappointed by this mascara. It looks great for the first couple of hours but I could clearly see it was starting to smudge after that, especially on my lower lashes, and was not flattering. It didn't look terrible but I went with a different brand that cost about the same after using this a couple of times and not liking the results.

Even though product is waterproof it bleeds onto your under eye makeup creating the raccoon effect. Constantly wiping underneath my eyes to get product off.

I bought this about 5 or 6 months ago and use it probably once a week when I'm trying to have a guaranteed good lash day. Everyone saying it is hard to come off you just need to use waterproof makeup remover because that's always a sure-fire way for easy removal. But this mascara is amazing never fails to disappoint me and such a good applicator and formula.

Despite being a cult favorite, this waterproof mascara just doesn’t hold up for me. The tips of the lashes get dry and flake off during the day. I also have hooded eyelids and the product rubs off onto my eyelids! This is definitely an issue with my anatomy however I also believe the formula shouldn’t flake off mid-day.
