Q: It says fits a window 36"-72". But when I received the curtain rod the smallest length is 50". I thought that the smallest length would be 36".

A: The two rods do not fully telescope into one another. Cannot achieve anything less than 50".

A: The brackets are separate from the rod, so you can remove the rod to install the curtains without removing the brackets!

Q: Same problem as the others. The two main rods which have the screw ends attached do not telescope down onto each other - they each have equal diameter ends - so I cannot achieve anything less than a 50" length. The telescoping rod is the extender.

A: There are two pieces of the same diameter, with one that is slightly smaller. The smallest diameter piece should be inserted as the middle rod. I hope this helps!

We made it work but this is false advertisement. The smallest it goes is about 50 inches. These are poor quality. Chipped paint and bent metal. Like if they came from temu so I am very disappointed in Target for carrying such cheap quality product at a high price.

Pretty did but do not purchase this if your space is smaller than 50”. Missed checking the reviews and unfortunately this does not reduce in size as the listing indicates. Annoyed I have to return this and find something similar for a smaller window to keep my rods coordinated.

This was my first bad Target purchase. came in a shipping box, no manufacturer container. No guide (which was mentioned in the instructions,) and the drill bit that was recommended was way to small. the best is that the holes in the bracket are misaligned (see photo.) Lastly there is no way to get the curtain off and on if your window is at the little end of the dimensions.

I actually have this rod throughout my entire house and it has been great. I purchased the smaller size for our bedroom windows, and as many other people have mentioned, it does not fit the length as advertised. Minimum is 50 inches, not the advertised 36. Thankfully my husband is handy and was able to cut the rods to size. My husband also has learned with hanging so many in our home that you need a 1/8 inch drill bit as opposed to the 1/4 listed in the instructions, or the drywall anchors will slip right out of the wall.

Full disclosure, it barely made it out of the packaging. Im returning bc it just isn’t right for what I want it for. It is much heavier and bulkier than I need for my very light and airy curtains. I could see this curtain rod being great for some more substantial/heavier curtains. Look-wise it looks just like the picture.

Yes, the sizing is incorrect but if the listing is fixed then this is definitely a 5 star product. It is the sturdiest curtain rod we have ever bought, such high quality and a cinch to install. We bought 4 already and jerry-rigged them to the right size. The distressed white and gunmetal both look great!

I would give this item a 10/10 on a scoreboard for disappointment/frustration. I do not recommend wasting your money on this item, as it did not include all the material for installation that it claimed to have. Very misleading. This is what I get for not reading the reviews.

This rod was just delivered. The previous reviews which I had failed to read are correct. We have a 33 inch wide window. This rod is much larger than 36. We needed the extra few inches on each side of the window. This rod was huge. We had to cut it down and rig it together. We purchased a different brand rod for a different room and it was perfectly sized. Try a different brand. This one is way off.

As everyone else has stated these rods are not 36" and can not be unless you cut the two end rods and slide them into the middle piece to hide the cuts. I am going to cut them but what a pain in the rear to have to cut five sets of rods. Target fix your measurements because you are wasting people's time and money who do not want to or have the tools to make these useable for 36" windows. These are a minimum of 50" rods. The design of these are nice but what good is that when the size is way off.

As all the other reviewer said. Neither the large or small has the right size range listed so if you need either of the extremes you're going to be disappointed. I had two windows, so I ordered one large and one small to mix & match to get the length that I needed. I only bothered with these because of the color and the wrap around feature and the price. The one bar did come with some dings on it (but they were small, it's up high and facing the wall so I kept it.) Not a great quality.

I needed it to be 36” as described; it’s a minimum of about 52”. I have a 40” window in the corner of my room, which means the rod would extend a full 12” past the window on one side. Target, fix the description of this product!

Was super disappointed when I went to hang these. As all the other reviews state, the length of the rod is completely off. I ordered the smaller size and couldn't get it to shorten enough, it was so frustrating. Product details need to be updated IMMEDIATELY to prevent others from this issue.

I ordered the 66x120 rod and I'm having the same issue as the other reviewers. I cannot short the rod to anything more narrow than 80 inches. Both the left and right side component are about 40 inches each, and they are the same diameter, so they cannot telescope into each other. I don't have the space to fit that, so these will need to be returned.

Like so many of the reviews, the drapery rods were longer than stated. They were supposed to be 66" and go longer but the shortest was about 10" longer. I had to make it work but I wasn't a happy camper. Other than the size being off they're okay, nothing special and a little pricey for what they are.

Reviews about minimum length are definitely true. I also found them really cumbersome to install - much more difficult than other rods. There are too many little parts and screws and we definitely needed two people to make them even and level.
