Love that it comes with already prepared slides. Our 8 year old has an absolute blast pulling this out and inspecting anything that she can fit on a slide. Pleasantly surprised at the durability and functionality.

My kiddos inherently love playing and doing experiments and this was perfect for them. There are prepared slides that they can make observations on and take notes. And there are enough extra slides for young scientists to investigate other things that might interest them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very tough hands friendly. Feels sturdy enough and is easy to use. Its easy to see through the eye piece as well. I consider it does have an age limit (for around 6-10 yrs) as it would bore bigger kids after a while.

She has been outside looking for things in the backyard to use and we all had a strain of hair pulled to check lol lol. She can’t wait to take it camping next. The toy was basically put together, there isn’t assembly and all parts are easy to use. I totally recommend this gift if you have any kids around :) it will keep them entertained for days!

It wasn’t great for actually seeing things from the microscope, but it didn’t introduce my son to the instrument itself and how to properly use one for the future. It got him excited for science. It’s not very durable it’s hollow plastic to not great for kids under 6 or so depending on how rough your child is with toys

It is really fun to start the journey. Kids are curious to out all sorts under the microscope. My kid has 11 yrs old and he loves it.

I would say that the age limit on this toy is probably about 12 just because the pieces are smaller. It’s obviously not a professional microscope, but it gets the job done.
