Q: The Farberware pan I am replacing says "18/10 Stainless Steel" on the bottom but this pan appears to say "Durable Stainless Steel." Is this pan made of 18/10 stainless steel or something cheaper?
A: You didn't finish your sentence: "While your pan is completely stainless steel, the content of nickel makes...." (makes what??) This is why so many people are marking this answer as "not helpful"
submitted byLinda - 2 years agoA: Thank you for your inquiry. 18/10 refers to the amount of chromium and nickel present in stainless steel. The biggest benefit of choosing 18/10 stainless steel is that it is long-lasting and has a sturdy feel to it. While your pan is completely stainless steel, the content of nickel makes. We hope this information is helpful.

Q: Is the pot handle heat resistance, I need to know because I have an old one, and I can barely hold it when I boil water, I want to make sure the construction of this one is better than the old one.
A: Thanks for reaching out Sandy in regards to the Farberware Classic 1qt Covered Straining Saucepan. While all handles can get hot (depending on the heat settings used), it is important to note that everyone will have different sensitivities and tolerances for heat. With any handle material, we do state that it is recommended to use pot holders as a precaution. We hope this information is helpful.
