A: Our products are safe for use around pets, including cats and dogs, when used as directed. Do not use directly on your pet or in a confined, unventilated space where pets are kept. Also be sure to allow any fabrics that may come into contact with your pet (such as their bedding) to dry before your pet returns to the area. While our products have been thoroughly evaluated by independent veterinarians and other scientists to ensure pet safety, we've not done extensive evaluations for reptiles, amphibians, fish or birds. Because these types of pets are typically considered highly sensitive, we don't recommend using our air care products in any area that might come into direct contact with them.

Q: Can these be used for a horizontal outlet position? Can the plugs be rotated to an upright position?

A: Yes, they will work in both horizontal and vertical electrical outlets. Turn the plug in the back of the unit to fit your outlet. The warmer unit must be inserted upright into the outlet.

Q: Can these be used with an outlet that is positioned with the ground plug on the top? In other words, are both metal prongs on the plug the same size, making it reversible? I'm renting short term otherwise I'd reinstall the outlet.

These things are amazing!! They smell GREAT!!!! ONE spread the scent throughout my entire apartment, literally. I've never had a plug in that strong. I can alway smells the scent even if I've been sitting at home all day. This thing is great, this will be the only plug in I buy. HOWEVER if you have severe sensitivity to strong smells I would not recommend this for you

I was using this on a power brink in my bedroom, I didn't have any other outlets available in my bedroom, so I figured that would do. The next day i noticed The oil inside spilled on my Wood cabinet and made the wood finish peel right off. Smells great but if you value your other furniture look somewhere else.

We’re so sorry to learn you had this experience, Joe. Our warnings share that our Febreze PLUGs should only be used in a properly functioning 120-volt electrical outlet. Extension cords or power bricks shouldn’t be used. Additionally, always position the PLUG upright, as warnings also state, “Do not use sideways or upside down as perfume oils will leak.” If leaks do occur, we suggest using mild soap and water, to clean up the area as best you can. Then, dry with a soft cloth. We’d be happy to talk further with you about this and see if we can help you further.
