Q: Why do you not have a large warning on front of package regarding potential serious long-term health risk from the ingredient sucralose?
submitted by Nora - 1 year ago
A: Does it help with poop
submitted byPoopy - 5 months agoA: I swear it didn't used to have sucralose either. I have always bought this and it tasted weirdly sweet this time, and I checked the ingredients and ...sucralose. so mad, my little kids eat this for a snack.
submitted byRC - 8 months agoA: Being it’s the last ingredient listed, it likely is too small of a quantity to warrant such a label.
submitted byMs RN - 8 months agoA: Their marketing team thinks it's a bad idea

It has sucralose and zero warnings on the box. I swear I have bought this for a decade and never noticed it has sucralose until this box. Did the recipe change or something? I took a bite today and it was grossly coated in something sweet, so I checked the ingredients and saw sucralose. I fed this to my toddler. I check the ingredients on everything , and find it hard to believe I missed this the last 100 times I have bought this. People who want healthy bran cereal aren't looking for artificial sweetners. Read your market.
Beware! Artifically sweetened

Great macros but buyer beware as this cereal is sweetened with sucralose, and it's WAY too much as well so it takes cloyingly sweet and artificial. I was hoping for a more crusty/hearty flavor but it tastes more like diet candy 😥

we missed the "sucralose" chemical sweetener when reading the ingredients list online but after trying this cereal we read the package and immediately threw the entire box away. It's back to Shredded Wheat for us, though it is getting difficult to find. Why would a manufacturer add a potentially dangerous artificial chemical sweetener which was rushed through FDA testing via huge financial pressure? $illy rhetorical question.
Caused Allergic Reaction

I bought this cereal in hopes to get more fiber in my diet. After eating half the bowl this morning, I started to get a rash in my mouth. I have never had this issue with any cereal nor do I have an allergy to certain foods. After reading the ingredients, I noticed it has Guar Gum which can cause allergic reactions when eating ( after googling allergic reactions to Fiber One Cereal ). I would be cautious eating it. I’m going to have to toss the box and stick with Raisin Bran. Never had issues with it.
Wish I found this sooner

I love cereal but have basically taken it completely out of my diet because EVERY cereal out there is horribly unhealthy and takes 2-3x serving size to fill me up. Until this cereal. It’s the perfect sweetness without having a boatload of sugar. Other cereals have 15,22,28 or more grams! This is less than 1! It tastes great too… it’s not cardboard. And it’s healthier than Cheerios which are bland
Maybe ok for cereal but not muffins

The recipe on the box says you must crush the cereal to make muffins. This is hard to crush. Also it says to crush it in a plastic bag and I don’t use plastic bags.

The best cereal on the market

I just discovered this cereal and then I read it is being discontinued. It had better not be! This is the best fiber cereal on the market. I love this cereal and eat it every day now. I'm in my late 50s and eating it just feels right ("It's the right thing to do"). It's probably one of the most healthy things I do for myself. It can be used as an ingredient with a lot of recipes too, but just in a bowl with some milk is perfect any time you have the munchies. It will cause gas, but that's to be expected considering how much fiber you're ingesting. Eventually, your body adapts to it if you eat it on a regular basis. The thing that surprised me was how delicious it is. It's naturally sweet, doesn't get soggy, and I never get tired of eating it. Sometimes I do 50% Fiber One/50% granola. It's hard to beat. I have to admit I buy it from one of the big warehouse stores because it's far cheaper. Bottom line, buy it, you won't regret it.
Great taste, low sugar!

The taste is great. I don't have to add sugar and there is less than one gram of sugar per serving. Thank you for bringing this back. I bought 4 boxes this morning.

Dear General Mills, It is mid-November 2023 and I still can' find Fiber One cereal in my small town (only 3 grocery stores). I have been eating this cereal (under doctor's orders) for 30 years and depend on it for my digestive health. Nothing else works. PLEASE make this wonderful cereal available again as soon as possible. Could you give a timeframe when it may be back in stock? Thank you!

I love this cereal and have eaten it daily for a few years now. It is chock full of fiber and has become an integral part of my high fiber diet. You said it would be available again in October, 2023 and now it is November and I still can’t find it anywhere. Can you please give us an update on when it will be back on grocery store shelves?
