I bought this detergent along with the matching rinse aid a couple of years ago in late 2023 and was absolutely shocked. It cleaned even better than the previous Cascade Platinum Plus ever did along with its matching Power Dry. Works well with shrimp Alfredo casserole stains too! Plus, it keeps my dishwasher smelling fresh and clean.

We were *only* users of Finish dishwasher pods — for years! The change of chemicals in the new ones is so awful, even the dishwasher reeks of the smell. So sad for the changes, as we were very happy with them before the new ones. Looking for replacement now. Sigh.

Decided to try this product and the scent and the taste the scent leaves behind is overpowering. Had to start handwashing storage containers and anything rubber or silicone so that our food doesn't taste bad.

New Finish Powerball Ultimate Package

Your new black plastic rectangular package for the Finish Powerball Ultimate dishwasher product is a DIASTER! First, the latch doen't close easily. It takes two hands to make sure the tab keeps the lid down. I don't think the lid is airtight regardless, so I don't see the point of this package change. Second, the tub is an unattrative color, dark gray. That color hardly looks good in any kitchen setting. And third, you changed the plastic from a #2 recyclable plastic to a #5. The #5 plastic is not accepted at most urban recycling centers, so that means most of the tubs are going in the landfill. The only ecologically acceptable package is the film envelopes which you do use in some of your products. So get rid of the plastic tubs and get everything into envelopes. It's the smart thing to do.

We have used Cascade Platinum for years but it always left an obnoxious soapy/perfume smell behind. I got to the point I couldn't stand it anymore and bought some Finish Ultimate to try out. It cleaned just as well without the soapy smell left behind on everything.

Decided to try this over the other leading brand. This was a no go for me. Left streaks and water rings on glassware. Had to wash a couple dishes by hand as some food particles was still stuck on there. I wash dishes before putting in the dishwasher, so this was disappointing. Back to my previous brand.

I have bought finish dishwasher pods for years. Recently I put a pod in my dishwasher and when the cycle was done I opened the dishwasher to find the old laying on the floor of the dishwasher. I put another dishwasher pod and ran the cycle again same results. I will never buy or use them again

Finish Ultimate is the best dishwasher detergent I have ever used in over 50 years of using dishwashers. It always leaves my dishes squeaky clean. Pots and pans are thouroghly cleaned - even burned on foods. Glasses are sparkling clean and no residue or spots. Silverware is shiney and clean. Even my dishwasher is completely cleaned by these pods. The tablets always dissolve throughly. The detergent has a fresh scent and leaves my kitchen and dishwasher smelling nice. I really like it. There is no scent or taste left behind on the dishes. I recommend for best cleaning performance to always make sure your dishwasher always has Finish jet dry rinse aid in its dispensor. This helps prevent spots and helps dishes dry faster.

I’m sad to say but I really dislike this product. I’ve always loved Finish knowing my dishes would come out clean and didn’t smell like a perfume counter. This also left a chalky white residue on the mugs or anything that was deep. So strange. Please Finish don’t over scent or ruin your products there is enough of that on the market.
