The quality of these extensions has dropped. They have never fit very well, but this year's product doesn't attach at all to the cloches. I had to resort to using zip ties to attach them. Poor quality control.

The fact that you made these as extensions instead of just making a bigger cloche makes these so versatile! I was already using the standard cloches so was easy to add a few of these to my stash. I had a unique problem to solve as well and once I got my hands on these I had a EUREKA moment 😂 . Strawberries grow well in my yard, but are easy pickings for the ground squirrels so we rarely got a perfectly ripe one. Strawberry pots are an odd shape to protect, but are the best vertical way to grow a lot of strawberries. But with these cloche extensions I'm looking forward to a great strawberry harvest this year!

I bought the cloche to protect some native cone flowers that were being snacked on, and within a week of using it to cover them I had to order the extension piece because the had grown so much! The cloches are sturdy so they don't blow over and they keep their form well. They are an investment I know I'll be using for decades to come - much to the chagrin of the bunnies in my yard!

We love the regular cloches, but this extender is so wide that it takes up too much space in our fairly densely planted raised beds - we only need added height and don't have room for so much added width.

I purchased two of these for the tops of my large succulent planters in hopes of deterring those pesky squirrels. I only bought the extensions because I didn't need the cloche tops, but I did add a flat piece of mesh wire across the tops, which isn't in the picture as I removed it to put an umbrella over the planter due to rain.These are PERFECT for what I wanted. The squirrels stay out of my plants and I can still see them(the plants). I have purchased other items from Gardener's and never have I been disappointed. Thank you for a product that FINALLY works for me. No more frustration with the squirrels in my planters.

Need a better way of connecting to the main part. Sometimes, it will become disconnected. It would be nice to have a taller version to use as your plantings grow and still need to be protected. However, I can't do without these .

Although the cloche extender is a different finish than my existing cloche it's not really noticeable. It was easy to assemble and does the job of keeping the critters away. It would be nice if there were different finishes available.

These cloches keep bunnies from eating tender leaves and, in a surprise twist, seem to keep slugs away. I wonder if slugs are deterred by the metal base or chicken wire.

I really love the overall size of cloche plus extension. The cloche is now much more usable for long term (read all season) protection from bunnies. However, I'd bought one extension to use as a test case for the multiple cloches I own. I will not buy any more because I can't figure out how to secure the cloche to the extension. Right now it's a balancing act. It's a great idea, but there is a design flaw.

We're sorry the extension isn't working well for you! There are three little metal "hooks" around the top edge of the extension. All you should have to do is hook them over the bottom ring of the Chicken Wire Cloche, and that should hold the two pieces together.
