Q: Does this watch track pace to the second or does it round to every 5 seconds? My old Garmin gives me pace to the exact second. Seems like most watches today round to the nearest 5 seconds. Very annoying. What does this watch do?

I like the fit. The band is comfortable and it works great as a stopwatch. It doesn't appear to measure the distance well for aquatic sports, such as swimming, nor indoor sports. Maybe GPS gets blocked by the roof.

The 265 is a perfect all around watch. I mainly use it for running and some open water swimming. The AMOLED display makes it super easy to see in practically all conditions. The battery life is great and the tracking for the gps is pretty accurate. Would definitely recommend this watch for someone who is looking for a step up from any of the barebones models.

It's been around 3 weeks with my new Garmin watch and I am nothing less than constantly impressed by this company's dedication to cutting edge excellence. The statistics and interconnectivity between my watch, Garmin scale, and HRM Pro chest strap are awesome. And I've had the chance to watch Youtube videos breaking down the tech and data these things collect. I also love the way my watch will analyze and break down my performance, letting me know if I need to work harder, or less hard. The rest function on there is great too. Before I got this watch I would work out hard with sub-optimal sleep just about every day, and be frustrated when my workouts were not yielding the results and feeling that they should. Being able to see things like body battery and sleep score at a glance has challenged me to focus on the rest too. Real game changer. This watch convinced me to buy the Garmin BMI scale, as well as the chest strap. I also plan on getting the Garmin Blood Pressure monitor as well, since Garmin has proven to be a fantastic brand.

I purchased the Forerunner 265 as an upgrade from my Garmin Swim 2, which I used for several years. The 265 gives me more options and opportunities to dig into my training stats. I especially like the Triathlon Feature which I plan to use in my two triathlons scheduled for this year. I still need to explore the sleep and recovery recommendations to make sure I am not over training. The online user manual is very helpful and easy to understand. Love the color and the larger face circumference. I'm sure there are many more features to this watch that I haven't discovered yet but now I have time to go online and do a deeper dive on features. I'm glad I made the upgrade and would recommend this watch to athletes who are looking to get more data out of their training watch.

Bought this in early January. I was an Apple Watch user before and made the switch because I was sick of having to charge my watch every day. Not only do I not have to charge this thing every day, I usually only have to charge it once a week or less! I work out every morning for 40-90 minutes so I'm getting good use out of it and even on longer runs the battery keeps up great! This is a great watch for distance runners who want to track their mileage, recovery and cross training. If you play golf, pay the extra money for the 965. I love this watch.

I had an older forerunner that slowly lost battery life, and I replaced it with a Wahoo watch. I wore that long enough for it to feel normal but switched back to a the FR265. It's amazing how much better it is at everything - even things as simple as the fact that the FR doesn't get caught in my sleeve when I'm putting on clothes. Wayyy easier to quicky understand what I need to when looking at a workout screen. Much faster connecting to GPS. Great battery life. Comfortable. I was skeptical about the touchscreen UI but it rocks. And it just looks beautiful

The lack of clear written instruction and challenges with connecting the Forerunner 265 to my android phone is giving me headaches. The watch is very confusing to use and I can't event get it to return to the base watch face in order to look at the time. Garmin needs to provide clearer instructions that are working in simple terms.

I asked for this watch for Christmas as an upgrade from my forerunner 165! I am very pleased with this watch and it is a bit more accurate and can do a bit more than my 165! Worth the upgrade for sure.
