Glitching?

I have had various Garmin products for over 10 years including watches and other sensors. The last watch I had (955 Solar) just shut off one day. Couldn't charge it. Couldn't turn it on, nothing. Enter 265s. And just now it wouldn't sync, I had to restart it, and it wiped out all of my data for the day. This is a problem because I have the watch synced with apps for my medical insurance and without the data I am at risk of not being eligible for certain benefits. The data was there before I had to sync it again with my phone. I'm getting disenfranchised with Garmin. What was once a reliable platform has significantly failed me twice now.

I’ve had this watch for almost a year now and it has done everything I’ve wanted from it! Use it for running, swimming, biking, skiing and indoor gym activities and all the features seem to be great. The training feature has been good to have and is great at keeping me within a specific pace with audio and haptic feedback. Connects easily enough with earbuds and downloaded music. Only thing is the sleep monitoring could be a bit better and I have a few scratches on the screen. Smaller available size was great for my smaller wrist.

I was looking for a running specific watch and decided upon this one because of the technology and price point. After switching to it from an Apple product it was night and day. I absolutely love the daily training feature and I’ve now ran two half-marathons with it and I’m currently training for a full. I would recommend this to any runner who is looking for detailed data on their running and how they can get better.

I use this watch every day to track my runs and other health metrics like my step count and sleep. I liked the updated display much better! I appreciate the longer battery life and the updated buttons but still found it a little cumbersome to clean some of the nooks and crannies of the watch. A more experience runner will probably appreciate the more technical aspects of the watch but it is very user friendly too.
New to garmin from apple

The package came with very little “how to” and coming from apple was a big change. I have been learning slowly how to use it better for my needs. But the battery lasts a many days! I don’t always ware it in the shower so I do charge it some at that time. Charged up VERY QUICKLY. I have used it for yoga, meditation, running in and out doors, sleep tracking. And I love it. I can’t read text messages with it and I believe it’s because I have an iPhone. But I didn’t want it to keep up with texts I wanted to see what I needed to work on to be stronger and healthier. Still have a lot to learn. And I will test out the swim in the Summer. Band is comfortable easy to clean. I work nights and I like that I can set my sleep hrs accordingly to that. The touch screen is very pleasing and you can customize it as well. The safety to let people know you are safe is nice as all. And it has a live track, although I have not used that. I had to learn the hard way the two settings for treadmill cause it will not track your miles if you just hit run. Just a learning curve nothing I would say is a negative for me. Used for about a month now Hope this helps

I was looking to replace a Garmin Forerunner 35 with a more advanced option. My main priorities in a new watch were the availability to upload basic maps and listen to music directly from the device. I love my Garmin265s. It provides detailed analysis of activities in a small package and has a bunch of other fun features to add to the daily menu. It helps me to be more consistent and I love using the heart rate data (even though I know chest and arm monitors are more accurate). It's great for what I need it for! The option to create custom breadcrumb GPS maps or plan a workout on my phone and then send it to the device is fantastic. My only cons are that the glass got a decent scratch in it, so I put a plastic protector over the watch face, and the battery life lasts about a week - less if you're running maps and music of course. Love this Lil watch!

I upgraded to this watch from my trusty Forerunner 245, which I had had for 2.5 years. The extra metrics like the Training Readiness and the new AMOLED screen are what really sold me. The touch screen is a really nice feature that I didn't expect to like as much as I do. I have a pretty small wrist, and am glad I opted for the 265s over the standard size. This is a great watch for anyone, beginner to expert level. If you're thinking about upgrading, this is so worth it!

The battery life is amazing. It works great for tracking workouts. One of my favorite features is the suggested daily workouts based on specific races, and you even get scored on how well you stick to each specific workout.

Easy to read and easy to navigate through the different pages. I really struggled to make use of most of the features with my last watch due to me finding it difficult to navigate and find what I was looking for. The Garmin 265 does everything I want, AND it's laid out in a way that I can find my way through all the pages and options. Love having a wallet on my watch in case I need to stop for some snack while on a long run or ride!!

Great size and weight. I am a high performance middle distance athlete and I wear this watch everyday including to sleep. Garmin gives valuable insight into my training and recovery with their different data points. This is really all you need if you run track or do triathlons. The watch doesn't have map functionality but 99% of the time I don't need it anyway. GPS snaps to track for specific track work activities. Has great User Interface for start/stop/splits.

Long battery life - charge it once a week after multiple activities. Diverse range of sports with accurate tracking. Haven't experienced any issues with it so far. My first garmin product and I wanted to pick something that had more than just the basics but wasn't too steep on the $ range. This models is perfect for that. It has all the features I need whilst being robust enough for all my adventures, and still looking sleek and stylish.

I wanted a watch that could motivate me to stay active and track my progress, and this watch has been fantastic. The screen is bright and vibrant with the AMOLED, and it has a ton more information than what I know what to do with sometimes. It's great for beginners or experts, and has been my go-to piece of equipment for all my runs, rides, and workouts. This was also my first smartwatch in general, and I couldn't be happier!

I've been using Garmin products for over 10 years. I've never been disappointed. The Garmin Forerunner 265s is no exception. It performs as described, heart rate function is super accurate ( comparable to my chest strap), battery life is exceptional. This is my second Garmin forerunner, my first one was a 245 and after 5 years still performs like new, even battery life is within a day or two from when it was new. I only upgraded to get more functionality. I would highly recommend this watch, you won't be disappointed.

Does everything an outdoor enthusiast would expect out of a smartwatch. I have the Fenix 7x as well and this is a good compliment for when I want to go lighter weight. Used it for mountain biking, hiking, running and yoga. Love that is has a mapping feature and touch screen. It has more functionality then the average person needs and I likely won't use all the features but it's nice to know it's there if I need it.
