Ease of use
So easy to use, battery lasts days, been using Garmin since I started running back in 2013. Forerunner was my first model at that time. The 165 has everything I need or want

Amazing Screen
I got this watch for my birthday, and right away I was surprised by how vivid and colorful the screen was. It is an amazing feature of this watch, and a reason why one would buy this watch instead of the Forerunner 55. The other features are amazing as well, and overall, it’s just a very nice watch that is very affordable.

Beautiful display
I had a forerunner 55 but wanted a brighter screen. This 165 is definitely an upgrade. Wonderfully bright colors, more bells and whistles, but still familiar because it's a forerunner. Love Garmin products in general and this watch doesn't disappoint. Very happy with this purchase.

Trouble charging
This is my second Forerunner 165. Garmin replaced the first one under warranty about a month ago due to problems charging. Now, a month later I am having the exact same issues. When I plug the watch to the charger, it may show that it is charging, or it may not. Sometimes, it buzzes and vibrates from charge to mass storage, to nothing. Sometimes, it charges ok, sometimes nothing at all. I have watched and tried all tutorials regarding this issue with no results. It keeps getting harder and harder to charge, even with brand new cables. I can only think that there is a problem with the method of charging in this particular model of watch. I hate this, because I love the watch and how it works. But I am going to have to look at another brand.

Light weight and great battery life!
I purchased the Forerunner 165 after my VivoActive 3 started to lag. It felt like a huge decision to make, since there are so many Garmin models out there but I’m so happy I went with the Forerunner! It feels much less bulky during runs/activity and I only need to charge it once a week. I’ve had the watch for about a month, and I’m excited to be learning new things about it as I go!

So far, so good, simple, and just what I needed for now. I have to get used to it being off when my wrist is in a certain position.

If you'd prefer to have your watch face stay on at all times, you can change the settings to be Always On Display. To do that, follow the steps linked below (Always On Display is under step #5). http://ms.spr.ly/6426tRCCg *KC

Great Watch!
I bought this product 1 year ago and it has been amazing. Has so many features. I love that it tracks many different forms of cross training and tracks so many different health metrics. I feel that I have been able to recover faster and better know my body from the insights this watch provides.

Great product. Takes work to understand the features. YouTube helps to explain what the watch can do.

The AMOL Display hard to read in bright sunlight.
My Forerunner 245 battery is fading so I replaced it with the 165. The 245 Sunlight-visible display works much better when bike riding in the sun. The AMOL display is nice indoors but is lacking outside on a bright day. I was also disappointed that the 165 did not have an indoor rowing app like the 245.

Great watch!
So many insights and I believe they are way more accurate than what my Apple watch was putting out. It’s helping improve my overall health and fitness. Love it.

Decent running watch, but too many features.
Got this watch from Garmin (25% disc) to replace my broken 235, which I loved. This 165 is a decent running watch, but has too many ‘glitzey’ features that are an absolute pain to disable for a runner. It’s trying to be an Apple Watch. I have been running marathons for 45yrs, and don’t need a recovery suggestion or being asked ‘how do I feel’ after the workout. I just want to save my run, and go shower. Also, the default screen setting of blank & only lighting up when you twist your wrist to check time is a terrible feature. Many times while driving or flying as a pilot, I just want to glance at my watch to chk the time & not take my hand off the wheel or yoke. The display & colors are fantastic, but I’d prefer my old 235.

Love the touch screen
I love this watch soooo much! The touch screen feature is wonderful! It’s also really easy to use and learn to use. So many features! Definitely more run based. But a great watch for everything.
