Pairing with phone necessary every day

My Pixel 8pro phone and my 945 no longer allow re-connect in the background. Every time I get more than 30 feet from my phone, I am forced to re-pair the watch as if I just bought it. For me this is multiple times per day. Please patch the firmware in the watch and/or Connect app.
Android Bluetooth Connection Broken

I have had my Forerunner 945 for a long time. I like it and I wear it daily. My reason for writing this negative review is because of the out of control disconnects between the Garmin Connect app on Android and the Forerunner 945. For the past two weeks or so every disconnect has caused a system message to Forget the Forerunner in Settings. That message pops up again 10 or 15 seconds after being cancelled ... beeping and obstructing the screen. I realize that it's possible to turn it off, but that turns off a bunch of other notifications as well. Some of the recent disconnect scenarios have caused the Forerunner 945 to fully disconnect from Garmin Connect requiring full reinstallation.

Coming from another smart watch I love the robustness of this one. It is an excellent value for its size and function--one of the smallest and cheapest Garmins having full maps. If you are new to Garmin it takes some getting used to the menu structure. The charging cable that comes with it isn't great and I prefer the aftermarket 90deg chargers. Battery life and charging speed is remarkable. I recommend this watch for everyone doing hiking or trail running. Great for smaller wrists too.

Just start using yesterday and noticed that the battery drained out very fast, full charged can only last 3/4 of the day without any activity, just normal usage.

I love the functionality and minimalistic look of this watch. It is my go-to for daily wear and tracking my metrics! It is easy to use and has a charming customizable display. It tracks my sleep, stress, workouts, and heart rate. It is great for weekend warriors and athletes who don't want to track too much. I highly recommend this Garmin product and will be looking to use it for years to come.

Battery life is the only saving grace. Set up is a clunky mess. The app and watch interface is unintuitive. Nothing but issues syncing or trying to add GPX files for navigation. Have reset, reinstalled, signed out, signed back in numerous times and still can’t get it to add courses from the app the the watch. Don’t waste your time, just buy a Coros.

Great functionality and user interface. Used in a variety of functions with run data and body metrics as primary use. So far no issues with battery life. Would definitely recommend.

Great all around watch if your looking for something for simple daily use and giving notifications that can also provide incredible workout data that is very helpful for keeping track of. I do however wish there was active gps mapping for the mountain biking activity similar to how the hiking map works. It would be helpful to actively check the gps map if your phone has no connection while the watch does.

This is my second 945 so I guess I’m ok with it. First one only lasted only 4 years which frankly is terrible. It started loosing time and wouldn’t connect. Final straw was almost completely dropping a pool swim.

The watch is very accurate and very tough. It's battery. Life is very long. I would say the battery life last around four days. You can change out the wristband colors to a variety of different colors. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I love all of the data that this watch provides, especially the VO2 max, sleep data, and body battery. The battery on this watch is also great. It charges very quickly and lasts well over a week. Coming from an Apple watch, this is a huge difference.
Forerunner 945 still hits all the marks!

Garmin continues to produce this model years after it's initial release, why? Because it still hits all the marks of a great fitness smart watch. No fancy touchscreen, but incredible application support for all the training, sensor and power data you'd ever want as a cyclist or runner. Battery life is better than most competitors latest watches and still, overall not bad for a model that's a few years old.

Light weight and battery lasts quite awhile. I wear it full time for the most part and really don't notice it. Learning to navigate everything with 5 buttons takes a little effort but overall it's a great metric tracker.

I have been rocking a Garmin Forerunner 235 since 2019. The forerunner series has been great and earlier this year I got a huge crack in the watch. I told myself I would wait until it completely broke. Well, fast forward to last month, I saw that Garmin was having a deal on a few watches. I was originally looking into the Fenix 6 or waiting for the Fenix 7. However, once I saw this watch on sale for a price I couldn't resist, I had to get it. Well, it was well worth it. This watch has added more data for me to track and account for, the battery life is still amazing, continuing to shame Apple and its watches. The watch has way more features than my Garmin 235. Overall, I am pleased with this watch and will continue to buy Garmin products! Maybe next time a Fenix 7 (when it comes out). But I plan to have this watch last me another 5 years easily with heavy use of running and swimming features. 10/10 Buy

So far the watch has been great. Very impressed with the battery life. I charged it 6 days ago and it's at 53% battery right now. I feel like the band is comfortable but would prefer something that feels a bit more sturdy.
