I really miss the mess maker product. This does not compare.

I wear my hair pretty short, & have tried dozens of styling products over the years to keep it neat but not flat. Surfer Hair putty is the best I’ve ever used, by far. Easy, durable, economical, & reliable (predictable) results every time, wet or dry.

I ordered the hair product online for car pick up. There was a large finger print/whole in the center of the hair product. The Target employees should open and look at the product before selling.

Love this stuff. It’s holds but still allows you to run your fingers through your hair.

This product really works

This is my favorite hair styling product. I have used this for years. It easily washes out with showering and leaves no residue. The product adds volume to my hair without stickiness and easy to comb! Love it!

This stuff gives a good, matte styling hold, but it does smell like you rubbed your head in an ash tray. It's gross!

I've used surfer hair on and off for years, when I have short hair. I love the stuff! It has just the right hold to not feel sticky yet still look good, plus I can run my hands through my hair, no problem. It calms my hair so I don't get static hair, which is a big deal, especially in winter! My only problem? (The reason I can go to 5 stars) What happened to the scent? It used to have this lovely citrisy smell. This most recent purchase, I was very disappointed because it smelled like tobacco or smoke. It smells like an ashtray!! Is this a mistake? Why ruin a good thing????

This product works perfectly! I guess it helps that I naturally have wavy and curly hair, but this really helps hold and sculpt my hair just the way I like! It also smells like the ocean at first but there’s no smell once you put it in your hair.

This is great for styling down fly-aways. You only need a small amount and it doesn't weigh the hair down too much.

I’ve tried all of the new products of Fructose and hate to say they kind of suck in regards to hold and non oily feel since you discontinued the Mess maker hold 6. I’m not sure why it was disconnected unless it had proven carcinogens in it?

Cant believe garnier doesn’t re launch surf hair. So many people are a loyal customer and really upset about the discontinuation.

Man I started out with a Mousse in 5th grade 1999 that I loved but my Mom didn't want me looking that good so I was stuck with her buying me different spray and general hair gels that left my hair shiny and hard but I didn't know any better. Started using a different brand of paste 7 years ago and thought it was great until I was on vacation in Great Falls, Montana in 2019 I forgot my paste so I bought Garnier Fructis Power Putty Surfer Look. Said only a hold of level 2 so thought it wouldn't hold well BUT I WAS WRONG. It held great and smelled amazing and my hair wasn't shiny or hard just stayed all day exactly how I styled it EVEN AFTER I MESS MY HAIR UP AT THE EMD IF THE DAY TO GET IT OUT IT WILL STILL HOLD AND IS STYLABLE. Disappointed to not find it at the last couple stores I went to but I'm just going to order online until I find a store that carries it as it is a great price and has been the best hair styling products I have ever used. Can't believe the bad reviews on this product I think it is GREAT!!

My husband uses this every morning and likes it. Doesn’t make his hair crunchy but keeps it in place for the day. I used to buy him a more expensive hair putty product but this works just as well.

Best best putty ever to hold back baby hairs on bangs

This cream like hair product is the main thing that I use for my long wavy/curlyish hair. I scrunch it in after a hair oil to hold my curls, and it gives me hold without weight, as long as you don't use too much. I wish I could know the old formula, but if they get rid of this one I would be out of luck since nothing else I've tried works the same.

Well looks like there never bringing back the formula so this is the best one I can find been using this for years
