Q: Can these bulbs be used in an enclosed light fixture? My ceiling fan has one closed globe not glass shades.

A: Hello,FancyNancy. This bulb is not rated to be used in a fully enclosed fixture. However it is not hazardous, it will potentially shorten the life span of the bulb and also void the warranty. Thank You GE Lighting a Savant Company.

This light does a pretty great job of that and conveniently was the same lightbulb shape as my existing kitchen lights. It doesn’t match the other lights 100%, which is why I can’t give it a 5 out of 5. Not the lightbulb’s fault though!

That is until we tried the ultra bright GE bulbs. These babies give off a brightness that we haven't seen in forever. Helps when I go into that room to sew.

Once installed the light is luminous and bright for such tiny bulbs. I am excited to not have to change these bulbs for the next 13 years. Overall a solid product that I would recommend.

This GE 100W is now my new go to bulb for my ceiling fan. It just brighten the whole house which is amazing. Highly recommend!

These GE ultra bright LED exceptionally bright light bulbs have an amazing 13 year life which is exceptional. It emits a cool daylight light and I can use it in my inside and outside ceiling fans. I appreciate the low energy use and that the bulbs are dimmable. Highly recommend this bulb!

They are nice and bright and were very easy to install. The only thing I would say is that the box only comes with two and I need three for my ceiling fan to replace them all. It would at least give me one extra to have on hand at least.
