The Soft White Direct Connect Smart BC Bulbs make it simple to add smart control to any fixture. However, if the smart light is turned off at the wall switch, you will lose smart control through the Cync app or a voice assistant due to the light no longer being powered on. I haven't connected them to Google or Alexa yet but that will add even more usefulness to the bulbs.

I have got to say, however, it was incredibly easy to set up and I absolutely love the lighting it provides. It's the perfect hue and shade that I prefer my room to be at, is not too aggressive, and has lasted much longer than the normal bulbs I use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set of two direct connect light bulbs are a great addition to the house. They are extremely simple to use. Just screw them in and make sure the power source is on. Then for me all I did was say Hey Alexa found my new device and after a little while she picked them up. Then I simply named them from my app. You can also do it by using Google or by downloading the app. I installed these ones on my porch. I love the fact that the are soft white and not overpowering on the eyes. You can also make them more bright or dim them by the app.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our house is far from being a "smart home." As it definitely makes things alot more simpler, I tend to keep things the way they've always been. So when TryIt Sampling sent me Cync's Direct Connect Smart Bulbs in exchange for my honest thoughts, I figured this would be the perfect way to get my toes wet! Lol. I must admit I was a little intimidated when it came to the set up process, but Cync provided a "set-up" guide that gave 3 different ways to get started. The first way was to do the setup process using the Cync app. The 2nd way was using Amazon Frustration Free setup, and the 3rd way was by using the Google Home app. I first attempted using my Google Home app but had trouble syncing the bulbs to my phone via Bluetooth. After a couple failed attempts I decided to download the Cync app and then follow their prompts. At first I wasn't successful but I think it had to do with the massive thunderstorms happening. After the storms passed I tried the process all over again and was successful, but for only 1 of my 2 bulbs! Ughhh! After another try I finally got both bulbs connected. Having the ability to control my light via voice command or through the app is nice, especially if we come home and the house is dark, I can turn the light on before we even get inside, but the hassle I had to complete the setup process was frustrating. I love that the bulbs are just as powerful as any regular light bulb, I love that they can be used via Alexa or Hey Google, I love that I can use a dimmer on lights that I couldn't dim before. I think that having 1 or 2 smart capabilities just doesn't seem worth it, but if your home is completely "smart" then yes, it's definitely a plus!

The initial setup took a couple minutes, and once they are ready in the app, connecting them to Alexa was a breeze. From here I can set routines in the Alexa app, combine them with other devices like motion detection and smart locks, etc. The bulbs feel very high quality and are very bright. I also love that they are dimmable, which is not always the case for LED bulbs.

Even though I’m not tech savvy these were Easy to set up on a smart phone and connect to Wi-Fi. I love the fact that I can turn them on when I’m not home so I don’t return home to total darkness. Connects directly to your wife router. Will activate through google home app on your smart phone or Alexa amazon. Definitely worth the try.
