This lit up a 36" tall Halloween pumpkin stack made by Trendmasters in the 90's. It's a good size piece and illuminated it perfectly! Was bright enough and spooky enough to do the job! Perfect!

It is a pretty solid bulb, but if you are expecting a tiny flame to appear in the bulb it does not have that. It is more of making an illusion of a flame. The best way is to have it in a translucent/smokey glass if you are putting it with a lamp so it diffuses the light better. In complete darkness I would say it is brighter than night light. The only take away is the flickering it's a little intense.

Color and brightness are appropriate, but the flickering is too regular to appear flame-like in my lamp (which has a stained glass shade). Might work better in an exposed candelabra, or with multiple bulbs.

As a Halloween prop, they're great. These do look more like a bigger flickering fame as opposed to a candle burning. They give off a great ambience. However, they're not very bright so if you need something to see well at night, these are not that.

Although how this candle works is fairly ingenious, I didn't like the flame this candle produces. The pattern is short and very repetitive, so it looks more like a dim strobe light than a candle. In a dark, romantic room, a flashing yellow Caution light in the corner wasn't the effect I wanted. I'm going to return it.

Used 3 of these bulbs in the hanging chandelier (lantern style) above our doorway for Halloween. they have off the perfect vibe. not very bright, even with 3, but they worked for the mood we were setting.
Great Bulb - Flickers Too Fast

This bulb is great. The color is perfect and the flicker action seems realistic. However, I find the flicker to be too aggressive, or too fast and the lumen output varies too much. It's similar to a candle in a wind storm. I returned this bulb but I would buy it again if they made a slow moving version. A version that was more like a real candle in a still room would be ideal. I found the flickers to be more attention grabbing than it should be. They just went overkill with the flicker action and it needs to be toned down.
