Description
Welcome to HABA's Clever Up! Building System. Building blocks help children to fulfill two natural needs: imitating the grown-ups and constructing things. This is how children familiarize themselves with the adult world. Children use the building blocks to playfully shape the space around them and at the same time begin to grasp the concept of the third dimension. Through constant repetition and trial and error, they also acquire an empirical understanding of the laws of physics. Depending on age
and level of creativity, the building blocks, baseplates and slats can be used to produce stage settings for entertaining role-play games. Cleaning Instructions: HABA recommends using a cloth lightly dampened with warm water. If you wish to disinfect the toy with a cleaning agent, use a small amount of either water and a mild dish soap or a water & vinegar essence mix. Both options work extremely well in destroying bacteria and cleaning wooden toys. After cleaning, wipe the toy dry with a clean cloth. Remember, Wood is a natural material that soaks in moisture. Do not ever submerse wooden toys in water or place in a dishwasher. Disinfectants (even organic baby wipes), should not be used as they can damage the water based protective coatings applied to protect the stains or paints beneath.

It comes with a variety of unique shapes and my children have made some really neat designs that would not be possible with other companies’ sets. These blocks are beautiful and well-made. They are a worthwhile investment that should last for years. The set also comes with a handy bag for convenient clean-up and storage. The blocks foster creativity and help build numerous skills that support development.

This set is big enough for them to independently play and open ended enough that they can always imagine more ways to use them. Right now their favorite thing to do is the older one builds the towers and the youngest knocks them down. They flat plates add so much interest to the set, I’ve never seen any other block sets include anything like these. The quality is quite impressive, blocks are smooth and no rough edges. Overall an heirloom toy for my girls to pass down to their children some day. Excellent product!!!

This set comes with 108 blocks of all sizes. He especially likes the flat ones that make great ramps for his cars. The blocks are well made and seem quite sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These wooden HABA building blocks are great! These blocks have been great for my little ones as they can actually build things. This set contains 180 pieces and is more than enough for my little ones even taking into account that we’ll likely misplace a lot of the pieces. I love that baseplates and slats are included along with the blocks. The wooden blocks seem to be of good quality and are sturdy enough to withstand toddler handling. I love that they’re made in Germany and not China. I’m looking forward to when their creativity pick up and they’re building based off their imagination.

It has been amazing watching them use their imaginations to build different structures. They started out only making towers but no they are attempting bridges. I love that this product gives them the opportunity to use their imaginations.

The building blocks are all in natural color wood. My boys enjoy playing with them. There are no limits to creativity. Bridges, houses, etc... everything can be built. Great quality! Recommended!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this HABA Clever Up building block system 3.0 a few days ago. My son has used it everyday since and really loves it. We have had a few building block sets but this one is better. First this set comes with 108 pieces which is a nice amount. The pieces are different sizes and shapes. Between the sizes, shapes and amount of pieces you can easily build several structures at the same time. The quality of wood seems far better than most and really feels solid so what you decide to build doesn’t just fall over. Lastly they give you a carry bag! Finally someone has figured out that a child will take their toy to grandparents home, vacation, etc. you simply put the blocks in the bag( Lehigh is pretty nice) and go. We can throw away the box, not worry about packing them perfectly. It’s great, get this it’s worth the money when picking a block set!

I will be adding to this set using same brand soon. Blocks are lighter weight but not cheaply made. Sturdy and solid which will make them last forever.

I love these blocks as they stimulate their creativity as well as using their minds to figure out how to place the shapes so they stay up.
