The instructions were easy to follow and it was nice that they gave options for fewer players and playing with small children. I liked it so much I bought another copy for a friend's kids. I'm very pleased with the quality, everything is well made and has held up to constant play.

She also enjoys playing with the Little Friends we gave her at Christmas. They are cute and poseable and fit her hands very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love this game! Very fun and engaging for both my 2 and 5 year olds. We play over and over. Color sorting and counting in game play.

The action of pulling the “ice-ring” and collecting the gems that that fall is really exciting for my son. I followed the guide for younger children at first, by having us all pic one color gem at the beginning and then stick with it. That was good advice because it let him focus on the process of the game. After we played it a couple times, we switched to the full rules without a problem. He still needs a little help with following the flow of the game. Still at the end of the game, he takes out all of his gems and counts them. The box is very well designed, everything fits perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cute game, it looked a little confusing at first, but it is easy to understand! my four year old and ten year old were able to play it together without my hovering! Its nice to have a game that they can play together and both enjoy. Its very different to other games, so makes a nice change!

I love Haba games and so does my 4 year old daughter. They are always so creative and fun for the whole family and this one didn't disappoint. The pieces are good quality, sturdy and made to last play after play. This game was a hit with my daughter and with us parents too - there's enough fun and challenge for all ages.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a simple but fun game that's perfect for small kids. My 4 and 6 year old can play 3-4 games in a row and are engaged the entire time. Each game lasts about 8-10 mins and is light and fun. Highly recommended for kids in this age group.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The idea of the game is cute. But its very hard to understand exactly how to play it. My children ended up making their own rules and playing that way. Dont get for young kids as it comes with many small pieces.

Our family loves this game. It’s easy to modify depending on the age/skill level of the players. My kids especially love making the dragon roar and “melting” the ice pillar!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My granddaughter and her new step-brother (both are 5 years old) come over to visit me all the time and get so bored with the toys I have here so I thought this might be a good alternative for them when they are visiting. They love it! It kept them occupied with no comments of "Grandma we're bored" or "grandma we can't find anything to do". It was perfect for them at this age. It helped to reinforce their counting skills too so they were learning as they were playing and didn't even realize it. It helped that it was new and exciting unlike all the regular games they have. I highly recommend this game for children their age.

It was actually kinda refreshing to play a board game and to see my boys enjoy it just as much (or maybe even more) then their video games and mobile apps, Great value for the money and fun for the whole family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an 8 and 6 year old and they both enjoy playing this game. My son is especially fond of dragons and was really excited about it. It’s pretty simple once you get it set up so they were able to play on their own after I taught them once. It definitely takes good fine motor skill to pick up your own gems without knocking any into the holes and it’s very frustrating for everyone if it happens on accident - but overall my kids both really enjoy it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an absolutely fantastic game and was a huge hit in our house. I have a 13 year old, a 10 year old, and a 3 year old. We always struggle finding a game that all the kids can enjoy together and understand. We absolutely found that in this game. My older kids thought it was super fun, but even better, my 3 year old was able to understand it! He loved the characters, he enjoyed changing who he was, and understood who he was and how to play. Even my husband and I had a lot of fun playing. I also appreciated that it came in a well made box- that you actually use as part of the game! This is really a great family game that all ages will enjoy. I would absolutely recommend it! You will not be disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So we received this game for our kids and idk what happened but no instructions and the box is nothing but Spanish so I’m going to have to see if I can google how to play it as I have two kids that think it looks cool and want to play but no clue how

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was our second game from Haba and it did not disappoint. Set up was quick and easy. The instructions are straightforward and thorough; we were playing within minutes of unboxing. It is a well designed experience whose play time does not exceed my child's short lived attention span; a game lasts approximately ten minutes. The goal is simple: be the player with the largest hoard of jewels in your cave by the end of the game. My three year old had no trouble grasping the concept and managed to play without assistance apart from verbal directions. What I appreciate most is the opportunity to build/sharpen skills through play. Among the benefits are color identification, counting, strategy, educated guesswork, coordination and sportsmanship. The instructions also provide variations on the game to accommodate the number of players, age of players or to add a level of chance to the game. Overall, it's a great introduction to competitive play. The only downside for me is the number of small gems included. My youngest is one and is still putting odds and ends in her mouth. We are not able to play in the presence of her curious hands and mouth and cleaning requires vigilance and diligence. Nonetheless, I think it's a worthwhile tradeoff as she'll outgrow this stage and certainly come to enjoy playing too in due course.
