Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Toaster - Stainless Steel: Bagel & Bread Toaster, High-Lift, Adjustable Browning, Kitchen Deals
About this item
Highlights
- TOAST THICKER BREADS: Easily toast thicker breads like bagels and Texas toast with 2 extra-wide slots. With this 2 slice toaster, you'll make perfect toast every time, to enjoy for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
- EASILY RETRIEVE SMALLER-SIZED BREADS: The Toast Boost feature on the bread toaster lifts smaller breads like English muffins so they're easier to retrieve after toasting.
- PERFECTLY TOAST BAGELS: Tired of undercooked bagels? The bagel function on this stainless steel toaster toasts bagels for extended time so they're perfectly toasted every time. A light illuminates when bagels are toasting using the bagel function.
- KEEP COUNTERTOPS CLEAN: Conveniently remove and discard crumbs from the wide-slot toaster. The slide-out crumb tray catches crumbs, so they don't end up on your countertop.
- AUTO SHUTOFF FOR PEACE OF MIND: The toaster automatically shuts off at the end of the toasting cycle, even if toast gets jammed.

Q: How many inches long are the toaster SLOTS? Thanks!
A: Thank you for your question. The slots on this Hamilton Beach Toaster will measure 6 inches long.
submitted byHamiltonBeachTeam - 5 years agoBrand expertA: The heating element in most toasters is made from nichrome wire, an alloy of nickel and chromium. Guess you can't have a toaster. Roast your bagels over a fire!
submitted byJay917 - 3 months agoA: I just bought one, the box says that it DOES contain chromium compounds, a substance known to cause cancer. I'm going to return mine.
submitted byscreen name - 1 year agoA: The HamiltonBeach Team's answer is incorrect. I put a 6" slice of rye bread in there and it doesn't even toast the top 1 1/2 inches of the toast. Hamilton Beach needs to test this and correct it.
submitted byMax Daddee - 5 years agoA: Just shy of 5 1/2" (model 22714). My nearly 50 year old Proctor Silex, made in Baltimore MD, it replaces was about 5 1/4". That 1/4" makes a big difference.

Q: The product photo with Lisette's comment shows 2 buttons: Cancel & Bagel. There are no other photos or mentions of the Bagel button. Is this for a different product?
A: Thank you for your question. This Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Toaster - Stainless Steel will not feature a bagel button.
submitted byHamiltonBeachTeam - 3 years agoBrand expertA: Mine, bought today, has the bagel button. According to the user's guide: "Press to darken both sides of a bagel, thick bread or English muffin."
submitted byAncius - 3 years agoA: Yep, just bought one and it has the bagel button. Seems Target carries the latest model because other retailers do not show the basic unit. Replaced my Hamilton Beach toaster bought over10 years ago

Q: Hi, is there a " prop 65, cancer warning on this by chance? thank you
A: Could you clarify? By having the Prop 65 label then that means there is a risk of cancer causing chemicals in your products?
submitted byD - 5 years agoA: There is NO LABEL on the box of the Hamilton Beach toaster I just bought saying the product is compliant with California proposition 65. Does that mean it is not compliant and may cause cancer?
submitted bykarol - 2 years agoA: Thank you for your question. The label on the bottom of the box, is a notice that the product is compliant with California proposition 65.Proposition 65 requires businesses to notify Californians about significant amounts of chemicals in the products they purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By providing this information, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about protecting themselves from exposure to these chemicals. This is not a label saying there is anything in our products that cause cancer, just that Hamilton Beach is compliant with this standard. If a company is not, it is unable to distribute products to California.
