Used once and it starting smoking like it was about catch on fire. Was only shredding cheese, smelled like plastic burning and then started smoking. So disappointing. I was tired of shredding cheese by hand with cheese grater and was hoping this would make it easier. I have one star because it was on sale and available same day so I could use for my Easter Sunday cooking. If you buy, beware. I’m returning in the morning.

I bought this strictly to shred cheese. I have arthritis in my hands. They are strong, but have pain, so manually grating cheese was difficult for large-batch food prep. The packaging for this was ridiculous. I couldn't get the base out of the box, can't imagine somebody with weaker hands doing it. Ultimately I had to rip up the cardboard to get it out! Very annoying.

This sucks. every time I used it you can smell hot wires smell. the gap between the shredding blade and lid is pretty significant so you have a chunk of food that doesnt get cut up. it has a weird gap next to the feeding tube that allows food to build up in it. the manual side scraper is find but the top handle collects water in it...so weird water will leak into your food if youre not mildful of that. The handle of the bowl also gathers moisture inside it. All these are items to point out because ive had a pervious years model (purchased in 2019) that had NONE of these issues even after years of use.
You get what you pay for...

I have had this processor for about a year and only used it 4 times. Today, I got it out and when I turned it on it would not work. I plugged it into other outlets just to be certain. I would spend the extra $50 and get a good one.

Works great. I made chocolate hummus in it. Can't use it for coffee beans or cacao nubs but I have a coffee grinder for those. Since it's so big, if you are doing a small amount the blade is over your ingredients and doesn't work, so don't get rid of your mini chopper until you check this out. It's super easy to put together and everything goes in the dishwasher. I especially love the bowl scraper that allows you to mix without stopping the processorand taking off the lid. Usually this scraper is only found in much higher priced models. Very happy with this purchase!

I really regret this purchase. It died after a couple uses. Then came the fun part. Target said it was past the return date, so I reached out to Hamilton Beach and they said they would gladly send me a new one. If I paid them $15 to ship it. No refund either, unless they got it back. Which meant I still had to pay the $15. I don't have the money. So I'm stuck with the huge food processor taking up space. Luckily I paid for Allstate insurace so I'm going to try them. but I learned my lesson. Going with KitchenAid next time.

Won't shred cheese, I used mozzerella. Very messy and cheese got jammed. I tried shred 1 pound, had to stop 3 times to unclog. Didn't try veggies. Sorry but that's the truth for my experience.

I returned this after only one use. It was extremely loud and made a funny smell while the unit was on. I also did not like that the food could get down inside of the middle section while it was in use. The mouth opening to it was also very small.

It lasted five months. Then like another reviewer, I also found a broken shards of plastic lid in my homemade ice cream. There are odd crevices for food and debris to get stuck in. Very noisy. I’ll be replacing it with something else.

A piece of the lid broke off while it was chopping cabbage and I did not notice until I was eating my coleslaw right now and I just had a sharp piece of plastic in my mouth. I can’t believe cabbage was enough to break off a piece of the lid. I’m so glad I didn’t eat it!

There should never be odd crevices for water to get stuck in, on a food preparation tool. I went to go out this away the morning after I washed it after I used it for the first time and noticed that there was water vapor and drips inside the handle. I started drying it with a hand towel and realized there was no way to get to the water. And that’s going to bother me every single time I use it. Standing water= bacteria. Not something you want on something uses for food prep.
