SUPSCRIPTION REQUIRED FOR USE OF KEY FEATURES

Loved this bassinet, but super disappointed with the greed of this company. They’ve completely locked you in, after spending an obscene amount of money on this bassinet and the required accessories, I now have to spend 20 dollars a month to use the app to access key features for my bassinet. Not to mention, this severely hurts your resale value, which is huge when you spend this much on a bassinet that you use for 6 months. I used to recommended this bassinet to basically everyone I met, but I will no longer be. Can’t wait to see what competitors come from this fiasco.

Don’t buy. Bait and switch. I was using the snoo and at 4am they decided to switch the app to a subscription model. This is robbery to charge for functionality that was already available. Find an alternative because happiest baby is trying to squeeze every penny out of you while you sleep. Snoo is worthless without the app and the app already was poor.
Long time users, VERY unhappy with the required paid subcription for basic features. DO NOT BUY

Happiest Baby just release a paid subcription for it's basic features of the app. I've used the snoo on my last 2 childern, but this is completely unacceptable. For a product that cost $1,700 and require a subscription for it basic features. This is a very unethical move in my opinion and will not be supporting this company moving forward. Additionally, if anything is ever wrong with your snoo there is no repair program. They tell you to throw away your very large purchase and buy another. Another really unthical thing. I would NOT recommend buying from this company.

Imagine paying over $1500 for a bassinet to then have to pay $240/year to actually work it? Thats right. Photo above, anything with stars next to it you need to pay $20/month to use. Definition corporate greed. As of July 2024, with the new app update, we lost any control of our snoo except whatever was programmed and the volume level. Absolutely bogus. Not worth it anymore on principle.

Features of this product that were advertised to us as included with the purchase price are now suddenly behind a subscription fee of $20 a month. The Snoo is already way too expensive. Feels like bait and switch. Really unhappy with this company.

I loved this product for my oldest child, but I just had my second and the company rolled out a paid subscription. There are now a number of features that are only accessible with the insanely expensive subscription. It’s on “sale” for $10 a month right now but it’s typically $20 a month. This company is clearly predatory and has made their product only accessible to a very limited number of people who can afford their insane price tags. If you receive this product as a gift or you bought it used, you are forced into paying $20 a month to access features that your child most likely will need. It’s really sad because this is clearly not a child or family focused company. Their subscription fees makes it very clear that they’re only worried about profit and will happily take advantage of sleep deprived parents of newborns. I think a lot of people were willing to pay a lot of money for the product itself, but the subscription makes it so that it’s not a one time cost. You now have to pay for it for every additional child you have or if you buy it used. They clearly do not care about making sure all families have the potential to access to their product which can offer a great option for safe sleep. Extremely disappointed.
Not worth the money with the subscription service

I purchased this expensive product for my 1st baby and it was okay it kept him down from time to time. Although they now just introduced a $19.99 subscription to unlock features that were previously free before. This is shocking since we were planning to use the bassinet for our future children. I wouldn’t recommend spending so much money on this bed then having to pay a subscription service to use the app. The free version of the app is basically useless. Look at other options than this.
Do not buy! Untrustworthy manufacturer.

Happiest baby is not a trustworthy company. I bought the snoo and happiest baby is now extorting me for $20/mi the just to use the basic features advertised as included. If you want to add a subscription for new premium features so be it but locking away previously free features is reprehensible.

SNOO is now requiring a paid $20/month subscription for anyone to use the SNOO in its full capacity. On top of how much they’ve increased its cost recently (almost $500) this just seems yet another ridiculous way to squeeze extra pennies out of anyone.

I loved having a snoo for my third baby. Wish I had it for my first two. By 8 weeks old, he would sleep 11 hours with one wake up which was amazing! My only complaint is that my very tall baby only fit in it until 3 months old, I wish we could have used it longer.

Lots of others have covered the sleeping and safety benefits and drawbacks of the Snoo. So I’ll take a moment to talk about the reliability and build quality of this product. We are on to our 6th Snoo for our two kids. (All rentals.) 1.) The speaker started making horrible loud crackling sounds instead of playing white noise. You can’t disable the white noise, so our only solution was to cover the speaker opening in duct tape while we waited for our replacement. I can tell that they’re using a fairly budget amplifier. Even when working correctly it buzzes with a lot of 60Hz noise from the wall power. Not surprising they just completely fail. Please let us disable the white noise if you’re going to continue using cut rate components like this. 2.) The second Snoo worked fine for the remaining 4 months that our first kid needed it for. They even sent us a free large Snoo sack with the replacement, which was nice I guess. 3.) The third Snoo was two years later, for our second. Within the first several weeks, the speaker started failing in a different way. It cut out when the platform swung to the right. My guess is the wiring was coming loose or rubbing against something. Again with the duct tape and replacement. Please let us disable white noise! 4.) The fourth and fifth Snoo showed up at the same time, with a single shipping label that said there was only supposed to be one box. But there were definitely two boxes. They told me to send one back. Packing and shipping Snoos is a huge pain. They’re heavy and cumbersome and don’t fit in a lot of cars easily. I live in Seattle and didn’t really want to leave it outside in the rain and at the mercy of porch pirates for a Fedex pickup. 5.) The fifth Snoo worked for a few months until it started pickup ghost noises and leveling up when it was completely silent in the room. This happened every 10-20 minutes, all night long, waking up us and the baby. This means that we have to lock the Snoo at baseline and not use the automatic soothing. Which means if we do want to sooth, we have to be awake and do so manually from the app. 6.) The sixth Snoo is on its way. Crossing our fingers. My biggest takeaway is that I would never, ever buy a Snoo outright. They are poorly made and only come with a one-year warranty. If you’re going to rent, consider that you probably need a backup plan for if your Snoo inevitably craps out on you. It’s up to you if the sleep benefits are worth the hassle. Fortunately you can try it for a month and see.

After 6 months with the snoo, it is my #1 recommendation for parents if they can afford it. Literally life changing. I could not have survived without this. My baby is not dependent on it to sleep elsewhere, which was my biggest concern. I love that I can be downstairs and will be alerted on my phone/Apple Watch if my baby wakes up.

This bassinet was everything we needed. Our newborn refused to sleep in her halo or delta bassinets. The crib was a no-go. She would only fall asleep and stay asleep in our arms which obviously wasn’t practical nor safe for two sleep deprived, exhausted new parents. Our doula recommended the Snoo and OH MY GOD it was like the heavens opened up and dropped this at our door. Sure, there’s some things I’d change about it like the fact that Velcro swaddles are a terrible idea. I mean, it’s like opening up a chip bag while trying to keep your baby drowsy or asleep. And the button you have to press to turn it on and off. It feels like you’re pressing a blender button or something lol. But regardless… it got our very fussy, colicky newborn to sleep long stretches. One night she went 8 hours and I was shocked. I was sad when she outgrew it and we purchased the Cradlewise crib. It’s a smart crib that bounces, has a monitor, temp control, etc. It was not for us. My baby HATED the bounce and the camera sucked. So did the built-in sound machine and the sleep tracking app. We missed the Snoo so much at that point lol. It’s a wonderful bassinet that saved our sanity in the early months. I wish they created a smart crib for after the baby outgrows the Snoo bassinet. I would recommend to any new parent that is struggling with getting their baby to sleep because something about the snug swaddle, swaying movement, and noise really worked for our little one.

We’ve had the snoo for a solid 2 months now and it has been an absolute game changer for our sleep & mental health! We were hesitant to spend so much money on a bassinet…. If you are on the fence do it!!! We get an extra hour to two of sleep every night now.

My baby was sleeping through the night by 4 weeks old. He consistently sleeps 10 hours a night for 2 months now. Love my snoo so much. If I could only have one baby item I’d give up everything else to keep the snoo.

We absolutely love our snoo and so does our daughter! We’ve been using it since the day we brought her home from the hospital and it’s been a lifesaver. I recommend playing with the settings to figure out what works best for your little one, we’ve found that locking it on level 1 works wonders for her. She’s only 2 months old and only wakes up once during the night. We love the peace of mind knowing that she’s sleeping safely on her back.

This is a high quality product and the concept is there but it didn’t work at all for our baby. Our baby got more upset being in this device and didn’t sleep any better in it. For us it was a waste of money.

This is the best thing we bought for our baby besides the Baby Brezza. We are first time parents who both value our sleep. This bassinet is as functionally pleasing as it is aesthetically pleasing. Our daughter is a little over 2 months now but she sleeps a solid 7-9 hours a night now. We love the snoo app too! It’s great for tracking sleep patterns and is super helpful at pediatrician visits. The auto soothing capability is awesome too! When we first brought our daughter home we would’ve had to get up every 15 minutes in that first week or two without the snoo but because of the snoo and it’s auto soothing capabilities we only had to get up every 2-3 hours. It definitely costs a pretty penny comparatively but it is more than worth it if you value your sleep. We took our daughter to my mothers one night because we lost power and put her in a bassinet with an attached white noise machine that my mother has…no dice. We barely slept. Love the snoo, highly recommend!

If there is nothing else that you get for a new baby, this is what you should consider. Best bassinet robot, especially for working parents that need sleep. It takes time for newborn to adjust into it, but our 2 month old sleeps 6 hours at night already. Get an extra small and medium swaddle and sheet cover.

We love our snoo and will be getting it again for our 2nd. My advice: play around with the settings to see which your baby responds best to, don’t give up on it to early. We turned the max movement level down and lessened the sensitivity to noise (son was a loud sleeper) and found our sweet spot. Use it for naps to, and flow the weaning suggestions when you start to see signs of rolling, etc. Get an extra small and medium snoo swaddle, and 2 sheets total, so you’ll always have something clean in case of a blow out or spit up.
