Happy Light Roast Ground Coffee - 12oz

Not only is the taste wonderful, but the product packaging is excellent too. First, I love the color - fun and lively for the morning! Additionally, it’s much easier to scoop the grounds out of this package than the vast majority of other coffee ground packaging. I also really appreciated that purchasing the product allows the buyer to support NAMI, which is a great cause.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this Hello Lively Light Roast Coffee as part of the Stellar Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. I’m primarily an iced coffee drinker and while I enjoy buying the occasional coffee while I’m out, fixing one that turns out delicious at home is also satisfying for me, especially with inflation these days. I have prepared it in my cold brew coffee maker a few times now and have had no issues at all. This coffee is so good. First off, although not the most important, the packaging is very aesthetically pleasing. For preparation purposes, I appreciate that it’s in a square canister vs a bag, but I do wish the lid were a bit more secure or air tight to preserve the freshness. I always love that first scent of the coffee grounds as I open it to make it and this one does not disappoint. The taste is light and smooth, not too bitter and everything you would expect from a good quality coffee. I typically like my coffee a little fancy with skinny syrups, almond milk and cold foam and I was able to dress this one up just the same and it was a treat. I enjoyed getting to try this coffee and have no complaints.

I love waking up to freshly brewed coffee and Happy ground coffee gets me through the day. I prepare my coffee in my brewer for a single serve but make a whole pot if I have people over. I’m in love with the packaging. So easy to scoop out and I find it keeps the coffee more fresh and aromatic. The packaging is so aesthetically pleasing and fits in my cabinet really well. I loved that it came in a container I could set on my kitchen counter without worrying about it spilling everywhere. The coffee had a mild tasting flavor overall, with a hint of nuttiness as stated on the package. I prefer light roast coffee but I would have liked just a little more flavor. Overall a really good product!

I don't usually have light roast but it was a nice change of pace and it tastes great. It was really smooth and easy to drink during a slow weekend morning. The packaging is a bit odd, though. Personally I would prefer a more typical coffee packaging. It sort of looks like a container of vitamins or supplements which is strange, but bonus points to Lively for thinking outside the box! The coffee immediately had a wonderful aroma and was ready for me to make my daily caffeine requirement! The taste was great, and as I drink my coffee black this is a huge requirement for me. It’s so hard to find an enjoyable coffee that doesn’t taste burnt when drinking it without cream or sugar. I’m so happy to have found this! After I cracked open the container and was greeted by the delicious aroma of the coffee, I knew this was going to make the perfect cup! Smells delicious off the bat, and tastes even better once brewed. The flavor and roast is just perfect for me—not too overpowering and also not too weak; it tastes great both iced and freshly brewed. I also have to mention the packaging! It is so cute, I plan on upcycling it when it is completely empty. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coffee is great, especially for a light roast. It is clean, flavorful, light and not bitter at all. I will just not buy this coffee because that amount of coffee does not need to be in a plastic container. It is wasteful, I can use my own reusable container if I am concerned about freshness. I received the coffee as part of a Stellar Product Testing Panel and I would not have purchased it because of the container. It is too bad because it is a good high end flavor profile.

I was pleasantly surprised by the bold flavor that this light brew offered. I wouldn't have known it was light brew. It was so smooth and easy to drink with full flavor. I was excited about the cool container it came in until I opened it and realized the lid does not lock back on in anyway so I don't feel like it will keep it fresh or not result in the lid flying off and splitting everywhere. I had to transfer it to a different canister so I didn't get the use out of the cool packaging I was expecting. Just wish they made it a little more secure. I don't drink coffee for the packaging so that's not a deal breaker for me. I would definitely consider getting this coffee again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stellar has sent me this coffee to try out and oh my was it amazing. Once you open the package the aroma of the coffee is amazing. Packaging of the coffee keeps it nice and fresh and no need to transfer it to another container. And once you brew the coffee you can’t wait to have your first sip. It is light coffee taste that wakes you up and has a great taste. I can’t wait to have my next pot of coffee tomorrow morning !!

I generally buy the cheapest store brand that is also fair trade because I'm on a tight budget right now, but I do appreciate a fine cup of coffee and absolutely notice the difference. My first thought after drinking this the first time was that this was the best cup of coffee I've had in a few years since I lived in a big city where I used to go to boutique coffee shops. My husband, on the other hand, didn't think it tasted much different than our usual budget coffee, but since he's not writing the review, I give it 5 stars! I probably won't be able to start buying this coffee regularly because of the price, but as an occasional treat, I would really enjoy it. The smell was amazing when you first opened the package, gave off some nutty hints almost and smelled delicious. When brewing it was easy to measure and the grinds were fine like our normal coffee. The taste was slightly sweet with some nutty notes and flavors. The brew wasn’t too robust and was just the right amount of flavor without being overpowering. It is a very light roast so if you like dark roasts or medium roasts, it won’t be for you. Overall I loved the unique packaging and flavor of the coffee! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Lively light roast ground coffee for about ten days as thats how long it took for me to finish the container. My first impression was I enjoyed the matter white appearance of the container as its not an eyesore if left out on the counter. Its sophisticated and matches my decor. I enjoyed the square design as it was a nice change up from a cylinder. What I didn't like was the lid, it just slid on and off. Although it was easy to use if you were to accidentally drop your coffee container I have no doubt it would just spill all over. My coffee did stay fresh for the duration of the 10 days I was using it but I can't say if that it was a long enough time period for it to even go stale. As for the coffee! It was atomic and a smooth blend, a little more nutty than I prefer in my coffee but I still enjoyed it enough to finish the container. The grounds were easy to use and saturated well in my drip coffee pot. I love the Lively Light Roast Ground Coffee for its perfect balance of flavor and light taste. It is not your average potent strong black coffee that leaves your mouth feeling like you need gum or a toothbrush immediately. It tastes fresh and doesn't have that burnt taste like many packaged ground coffees. I love it for my mid day pick me up with a little vanilla creamer. The added bonus is the cute packaging that says HAPPY right across it to start your day off with a smile. It stays fresh with an easy close lid that has a tight seal that can be recycled after use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee was very average. The directions were cute but gave no real guidance on how to best prepare this coffee. I was left wondering how the coffee was meant to be prepared. There was no instruction of the intended ratio of grounds to water. The flavor nodes were good. I didn't taste the hints of cashew advertised. It wasn't too acidic. The novel packaging gave me higher expectations than what I experienced. I was a little disappointed. The packaging was eye-catching and nice. I liked that I did not have to wrestle a bag or pour the grounds into a different container. It did a good job of keeping the grounds from air and moisture. I can see myself using the packaging for different uses around the house after I finish the grounds. If I bought this coffee consistently, I can see myself overwhelmed with containers. It seemed like a lot of plastic for a package of coffee. I know the packaging is recyclable, but it did not have a resin number to properly sort for recylcing. My favorite part of this coffee was the packaging. It was cute and fun. The container didn't feel like an eyesore on the counter. It was clean and presentable enought to leave on the counter. I love coffee and enjoy it every morning, so I was thrilled to give this a try! This coffee was delicious, I love the light roast! I didn’t taste any bitterness, and it was perfect with a little creamer! The container it comes in is much easier to use than a bag in my opinion, since it doesn’t make a mess. It keeps it fresh as well, and looks nice just kept on my counter. I’m really enjoying this coffee and am excited to keep drinking it every morning!

It was very light, I would love to try the darker roast versions. The packaging is so cute and keeps the coffee fresh. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I thought this was a very enjoyable coffee. As someone who prefers light roast, I definitely found myself a fan of the taste, although I didn't personally notice a strong cashew flavor. As someone who drinks ice coffee year round, I drank this both hot and cold and found the flavor to be good in both instances. I used a standard drip coffee machine and used anywhere from 4-6 heaping scoops for a full pot, and would store any leftovers in an airtight pitcher in the fridge. I also was a fan of the container the coffee came in. I thought the look of it was unique compared to some of the standard "cans" or "bags" that you see a lot of other companies go with. As air and moisture are two of the biggest enemies of coffee, I found the container did a good job of maintaining a tight seal and keeping the coffee fresh. I'm thinking I may hold onto this to keep future coffee grounds in, as the size is nice for keeping stored on my coffee bar. So with all of these positive things to say, why only 4 stars? There was nothing that particularly stood out to me about this coffee. While it was good and I enjoyed it, if it was put into a lineup of other light roasts, I'm not sure I'd be able to pick it out or distinguish it. I was also very excited to see the notes of cashew, but was a little disappointed I couldn't pick them out at all. All in all, this brand delivered some really good coffee. If given the option would I drink it again? Absolutely, if you like light roast, I feel confident in saying you would enjoy the cup of coffee this produces.
