Adjustable follower wires keep files upright and organized. The included core-removable cabinet lock allows cabinets to be keyed alike. Q: Hello, if the file cabinet is 22" inches then how far does this file cabinet actually open in inches ? The file cabinet I have now is (2 drawer - letter) 22" but when opened it's 39" inches total?

A: Each drawer includes 80% extension ball-bearing slides for smooth drawer action. Meaning each drawer opens 17.6 inches (39.6 inches total)

Q: Do all 4 drawers lock?

A: Yes, but not individually. There's 1 lock for 1 entire file cabinet and locking it will automatically lock all 4 drawers. When the cabinet is not locked, all 4 drawers can be opened 1 at a time or all 4 at the same time. There's anti-tipping equipment included so that you may choose to install if you intend on opening multiple drawers at the same time. However, if you don't want to install the anti-tipping equipment simply open 1 drawer at a time. This information and instructions are included with this file cabinet.

Item arrived fairly damaged. Target support was only able to over me $20 back. I would not recommend purchasing this item. The cabinet was bent on both sides making the top drawer hard to open. Along with the eye sore of the dents. Not worth the hassle. Find something somewhere else.

The drawers do not extend out all the way, which makes the files in the back hard to reach. Also, there are "instructions" to extend drawers by holding flimpsy plastic tabs on each side up on one side and down on other side but this does not work well. Also, got SHARP metal splinter bec there was unbrushed loose steel pieces coming off this item

This was delivered with no issues. Not for legal size papers. Was just what I needed for the space I wanted to put it in. Look at measurements before you buy. And the keys were inside the top cabinet on the side with a twist tie. You have to buy file folders separately. I got a decent set of file folders on Amazon that fit this cabinet. The brand was Herkka extra capacity hanging file folders. Happy with this file cabinet. Perfect for organizing paperwork at home.
