Homedics Fast UV-Clean Portable Sanitizer Case with USB

This was an excellent thing to have in these Covid times. Im glad I bought it.

I received this today and it works as the instructions state. But it came with a test paper that is supposed to turn purple once sanitized to prove to you that it's working and the paper has not turned purple so maybe mine is broken or maybe this product doesn't work at all. Not feeling very assured that it's doing anything.

doesnt seal completely shut. weird shape. too difficult to return.

When plugged in the blue light appears showing it is getting power but when I go to turn it on it flashes red and nothing happens! Can't find an owner manual anywhere online! What's the issue!???

I keep it in my bag, so I can take it with me every where I go. I sanitize my phone, keys, kids pacifiers and toys. I have even started sanitizing my friends phones and jerry's when we go out. He is constantly going on medical calls of all sorts, and we always try to find ways to sanitize things that he has on his person at the time of said calls. What I love about the HoMEDICS UV Clean Sanitizer Case is the simple design and color, but more importantly the ease of use. It's as easy as putting items in, closing and pushing a button. Once the indicator light flashes, you're ready to take your item(s) out. That simple! There are no messy chemicals to use or clean up afterwards - no weird cleaning smell to put up with or anything. The case itself doesn't take up much room and can be plugged into any adaptor or into a USB port, and it's size makes it easy to fit practically anywhere. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this product. Highly recommended!!

As a school teacher kids are constantly touching things on my desk or borrowing pens and pencils. Although this item is for phones, I use it for many other items. As one of the only school districts who didn’t shut down this year, we had to be extremely careful. I love this item because it has been so useful on so many different items. It also is super easy to use. The simplistic design makes it so that a kindergartner can easily operate it with a one button push, and they really love turning it on! I love the neutral color and the sleek appearance too. It doesn’t take up a ton of room on my desk and the cord is easily put into any adaptor or into my computer. I actually have it plugged into the USB port on my desk lamp. The magnetic latch is also a very cool feature. It holds tightly and keeps the item closed well. Over all I am extremely pleased with this product.

I put in my phones wallets cards remotes and anything else that fits. It helps kill the germs on the devices I own and I love this product

Especially nowadays, we are all taking extra precautions but this product really gives me that extra piece of mind. What I really love about it is it’s ease of use - there are no messy cleansers or unpleasant scents, and most of all it is virtually waste free by using just UV lights. My phone is one of the main items that frequents this method, but keys are another one that I’m making sure I do daily. The value for the money is great and I’ve seen similar products for more money on the market. Definitely get one of these and keep it in your foyer or by the front or back door and use it before and after going out and you’ll have that extra piece of mind you’re doing everything you can to keep yourself and your family safe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a couple weeks and was kinda concerned if it actually did anything. So I got a bacteria testing kit and did a few tests. Front and back of phone dirty and UV sanitized. After running the tests and waiting a week I found the front of my phone, the part that touches the face, had the most bacteria growth from before the UV treatment. The test for the front after UV treatment did kill off whatever bacteria was there. There was some bacteria growth but no cleaners actually kill off all of it but this did a pretty good job cleaning for only using a UV sanitizer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to get my UV Clean Sanitizer Case to sanitize the items I use every day. During the pandemic, you can’t over sanitize your phone , credit cards, and keys but I don’t really like using too much bleach on them because I’m afraid of the damage that might cause. I like coming home and putting my phone, wallet, and keys into the Sanitizer Case so that I know that they are germ free! I was able to easily plug in the sanitizer case and know that it’s cleaning my gadgets. It takes about 90 seconds to clean one side of your phone before you have to flip it to clean the other side. The case comes with a little card that you can put inside of it to test if the UV light really works. I loved getting the little reusable test card because it gave me the confidence to trust that the device is properly sanitizing whatever I put into it and I can retest the device if I ever lose faith. I think that the case is made with quality and care, and I’m not sure how I made it this long without it to sanitize my phone especially! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to be more sanitary with their smaller gadgets and I hope you love yours as much as I love mine!

You just plug it into a USB charger, press the button on top and the blue light will flash letting you know the unit is working. Easy to operate and has 2 setting that I can choose from. The light comes on and it has an indicator light on the top so you know when it is ok to open it. The UV process is fairly quick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my new UV CLEAN Sanitizer Case from HoMedics and so far so good! I have put anything in it that will fit! I have UV sanitized my phone, remotes, makeup brushes, keys etc. It comes with a little card that allows you to test it and make sure the UV light is working. However, you cannot see with a naked eye how effective it is. You just have to trust that it worked. It gives you peace of mind knowing that your things are sanitized, especially germ infested items such as a cell phone. It is super easy to use right out of the box and only takes a minute and a half to sanitize on both sides -- so 3 minutes total for a phone. Still not bad of a wait like with some others. It does not hold really big items so you can only sanitize what fits inside the box. Not bad for an inexpensive UV sanitizer.

I couldn't really tell it was on and when it was 'going'. I had to carefully peak inside to see what was going on. How exactly do I know to trust this thing? just seem very niche to me.
